There are gonna be quite a few non-drinkers tomorrow.
And as per standard Team-BHP protocol,

5. Keep the account clear

I would have actually liked to highlight this whole post, because i cannot stress enough on how important this is.

Please don't take money for granted. It leaves a bitter after-taste. Find out approximately how much it will cost and carry the money with you. Don't make the organisers regret doing what they did. It will affect all future meets.
You could be worth crores, but your negligence to pay a few hundred rupees will leave you branded as a cheapo.

If you drink, pay for your drink or pay a reasonably higher share of the bill. If the meet is at a restaurant, you will probably recieve a seperate tab for the booze and for the food. Everyone shares the food tab, all drinkers share the alco tab. It's not nice to expect a non-drinker to pay for your rum.

If you must leave early, go up to the organiser and pay in advance. There is no problem with that. Nothing to feel odd about. You came, it's unfortunate you have to leave. Pay up and leave. Keep the account clear. None of your friends should have to pay for you, remember, they WILL discuss it when the bill arrives.

Confirmed as of now.

So we can as well drop the Ferrari plan.

Don't close it just yet. Let us see what we can do.

Grow up guys..let me not start a closed chapter..I really DO NOT KNOW under what circumstance that was written!

Nowhere does it mention that it is the Team-Bhp protocol..its just a suggested method by one of our D members!

And all of us are free to have our opinion..and let me not discuss it here!

Headers..Chill.

Nitrous,

I think that this is not a protocol but a suggestion by one of our senior team members, the yeti. But,i personally think that it is up to the group (or the individual who does not drink) to decide whether to share the money or not?

Anyway, i am completely new to your guys.It is up to you guys to take up any decisions.

PS: Am a non - drinker and i do not have any problem is paying for the food+booze.

vikram, I think nitrous has a point. I dont think non-drinkers need to share the tab for the booze we drink. I do understand that your point is due to the last minute calculations to arrive at tab for drinkers & non-drinkers.

What I would suggest is those who drink, sit together and order their eats/drinks, while non-drinkers sit as another group - at the same long table, if possible. At the end of the lunch, get 2 bills, one for the drinking group and the other for non-drinking. Split the tab based on numbers in each group. Problem solved.

We have only like 6 hours, of which atleast 2 will go in driving to-and-fro, leaving us 4 hours for lunch, karting and off-roading. I guess we should go as per the original plan instead of adding more stuff to the list and not end up doing anything properly.

Dont be so modest raajiv. Are you treating the whole crowd to celebrate the new car purchase?

Agreed!

Also..we might as well be 2 separate groups - the Drinkers and the non drinkers..

I think it is stupid to actually calculate on such a basis.. We are there for the company of the people and not actually countin how much each of us had / ATE!

Why not each have a count of what he had and pay individually? Sounds silly right?

Thats exactly my point.

@SB: biju, its not that we keep drinkin till we are sloshed.. after all having a drink or 2 really does not matter! On the contrary we dont eat the WHOLE CHICKEN!!

Anyways, hoping to meet all tomorrow!
