OK, finally here come the pics I had.

1. Some of the cars (those that came on time or earlier) lined up opposite TIDEL park.


2. It is quite some time since the newbies (as far as attending a meet is concerned) arrived and no sign of the so-called veterans, even when it is like 12:30PM. They look like they are wondering whether the whole meet thing is a hoax - something cooked up to make a bakra of them.

3. The Jeep arrives driven by nitrous.

4. nickatnite's SX4 - cool in white.

5. Arka is pissed off that most of us wanted to go by the plan - ie. to have lunch (and beer) first and offroading later. But he had his way finally and it was like 4PM when we finally staggered into Moonraker's for food/beer.

6. The rear of the Gypsy, which was the hot topic during the pre-meet meet at Manek's terrace. LOL.

7. The gang drive on to the off-roading spot (which is a stretch of beach, just before Crocodile Bank). john(e_l) leads in his Esteem.

8. A view of the IT corridor - you can see Raajiv in his blue i10 at extreme right.

9. 5 of my colleagues who found the idea of Sat-drive-Mahabs-beer-offroading-karting interesting and jumped in for the meet. They are not tbhp-ians - a car is just a mode of transportation for them.

11. This was the only shrub standing after the 2 Jeeps and Gypsy made mincemeat of all vegetation in the whole neighborhoud. LOL.

13. Abdul seems to be telling his friends, "See, I told you these guys are nuts. Driving in pits, sand, climbing walls etc instead of driving on the road like us sane people".

14. The Gypsy and Jeep leave for some fun on the sea shore. I am thinking that they would be back in a few minutes and plan out a picture with the sea in the background and all. 5mins, 10mins, 15mins pass - no Jeep or Gypsy. Learn later that the Gypsy got stuck. And what did I get in the frame ?

15. This couple - whose idea of a quite rendez-vous got screwed by a bunch of petrol-heads.

16. Flowers along the beach.

17. The reason why the Jeep/Gypsy did not return.

18. I just can't get over the Gypsy-mania. Another shot of Halle Berry. :-)

19. headers (vikram) does it again. There is no way he is leaving with his car's prestige tarnished by a puny ridge.

20. The man and his machine, after accomplishing the task.

21. Arka trying the climb where the Gypsy failed.

22. Arka climbs up on the 3rd try and returns after a drive and descends straight down to the other Gypsy parked there, whose owner panicks (understandably) and runs to move it out of hells way.

23. The other Jeep that joined the party.

24. bottle's Palio. Looking great as usual.

25. The OHC with a Type-2 front and a Type-1 rear. Nice looking car.

26. The twin Jeeps.

27. Tired, hungry and thirsty gang at Moonrakers - table 1.

@SB : You can actually have the comments above the pics, all you have to do is upload all the pics then click on the attachment dropdown, select the pic one by one and insert one by one after the comment..

Very nice descriptions too. I was the first guy to the venue and if Raajiv hadn't come, I think I would have thought I had come on the wrong saturday.

Thanks for the tip, hrag & navin_bhp. Will try that out next time. I did remember reading this option in GTO's post, but somehow could not figure it out.
