I should say that the energy of the group was duboy & like hydra, I too accepted defeat as i havent heard of some of the models he mentioned. He also gave some spectacular moments in the track too. Good going duboy.

Expecting more pics & story from Zak.

I will miss todays meet. month end - year end.

Good info zak,I was wondering why the scorp rear took more dust than the safari.Just watch the rear glass or scorpio and the safari. Is it due to the rear spare wheel?

No Ram. Steeroid took the pain to wash the beast on every opportunity. You know how he takes care of her.

Was with the gang at abad plaza atrium. i had to split early. refer to my earlier posts to figure out the reason.

had iced tea and cold coffee and decided to shift the venue to taj malabar.

everyone piled into steer's safari(ashvin, zak, steer, samurai)

aaha and nikkibike left earlier, but aaha will probably join the above mentioned 4 at malabar.

I was in the swift and since my place was in the same general direction as the malabar, the 2 cars travelled together. after being bottled up for some time in traffic, we broke off from the crowd at willingdon island.

i decided to take a detour to enjoy the island's roads with steer's dicor for company.

It was surprising to see the dicor keeping up with the pete'd swift
steeroid claims his dimsport chip was not attached.Pinch of salt anyone?

I eased off after 120kmph and let him pass. Big mistake. He went straight past and onto gravel at 140kmph. Visibility for me was non existent from all the dust the elephant was kicking up. Backed off further, and waited for the dust to settle. Then caught up again, said bye. went home

they are probably laughing it up in malabar now.

Ho! Another great evening it was.
I was the only official photographer today. As I don't have a laptop now, Steeroid will do the favours when he is free. If any pic turns out to be good enough, be sure it's not intentional.

We got to meet Samurai-San. We had a small, introduction meet at Abad Atrium. We had a seafood dinner at Rice boats, Taj Malabar.
Hold on to your mighty breath! Steeroid was planning for a drive yet again!

@Ripper. Yes! It's the truth without any salt. It's not connected. If it was, then we would've passed you long before you even braked. This one is a real Beast. Wanna buy?
@Archangel, did we appear as females once you got high?
@Mansidea. Please, some more. Please chetta!

no you wouldnt have,I was hesitant to floor it because, for me visibility was not reassuring enough, and I kept worrying about the position of the rail road crossing that was supposed to be coming up.

and anyway-I wouldnt have crossed 120.

so, are all safari's like this, or just steeroid's?

I guess you'll never find out, since you drive an Endeavour.

For the record, I removed the box from the Dicor the last time I was here since it increases engine noise marginally. And do remember that we had 4 (including 3 heavyweights) on board the Safari - weight being equal we may have passed you. I also had a mis-shift (Samurai knows - a few unmentionables came outta my mouth at that point).

There is life beyond Swift DDIS & Verna, you know... Mansidea's Scorp would've kept up for a while too - at least until the 80-100 kmph. He was able to stay on my tail for most of the trip to Idukki except when it came to steep inclines or long straights. Until we decided to drift through the hairpin bends in the Safari, that is.

BTW, I had a ill timed gear shift too... thank god there were no witnesses to hear my profanities as I watched the RVMs at that point.

the scorpio isnt as fast as your dicor. I've had both of you in the RVMs now, its easier to make the scorpio smaller than the trying to make the safari smaller.

Now this...I'm in two minds here...should I actually ride with you on the hairpins just to experience drifting a safari(I'd love to), or should I just be sensible and not risk my neck(I'm terrified).

to everyone else who's reading this conversation,

two things
1. diesels are fun
2.team bhp diesels in kerala are the most fun

when is our next meet? and are there more pictures?

Ripper! 3meets finished and yet the title is asking for ideas. Please request a change.

I was awake till 4am last night. Wow! This weekend at my hometown was just amazing. Thanks all.
BTW, We're trying to undo all the cosmetic damages done to the Safari before it is safely parked for some days.
