Missed it very badly guys :( and sorry for not making it up. Heard it from Aravind Anand, my friend/colleague that it was a big one! So looking forward to the next one to happen soon.

My first TeamBHP meet, in Mar 2008, was one of the biggest drive-cum-meets in Chennai then. I continue to have fond memories of that one.

Oh man, did I miss this meet or did I miss this meet.

After all the days of getting worked up about it, even to the extent of pm'ing Anand confirming my attendance, I had to opt out because of a sudden business meet. (of all the days).

But I am glad that the meet happened and all those who attended still seem to be on the high. Great snaps too.

What can I say? - Looking forward to the next one.

Thanks man. As already said by ajay2233, Prithvi53 & aravindanand really had nice time in alambara fort, discussion on various topics not only about rides but also about Photography, food personal trip experience.

Next time we plan for a little bit a longer drive but need to start little earlier so that we can nice photo shoot of car formation, pleasant sun rise etc.

2nd SEPTEMBER CHENNAI MEET REPORT

Place visited: Alampara fort

Trip description in one word: AWESOME!


The day started with me waking up at 5am to get ready in the morning to pick up ezhil from his house because his car is slowly getting stripped for performance modifications.
Myself and ezhil reached madya kailash at 6.15 in order to welcome the gang.

The first one to reach the spot after us was avinaash followed by prithivi and aravind. Ajay had sent me an sms saying that he will reach in 15 min(sms was sent at 6.30). We decided to wait till 7am for people to show up.

A call was placed to ajay at 7 to find out where he was

me: boss where are you
ajay: just now getting into the car. i will be there in 10 min
me : ok

Ajay kept his word and reached exactly in 10 min.

We decided to start off and regroup at ecr view point after kovalam and we decided to maintain a speed limit of 70kmph.

We started off sometime close to 8am and moved towards ecr as a convoy.

After 10 to 15 minutes of driving ajay decided that i was too slow and decided to speed up things a bit. He starts to let the vtech loose and boy o boy!!! the sight of a vtech being pput through its paces is a heavenly experience.

Seeing the vtech stretch its legs the biker in our gang decided to exercise his wrists and before i could blink twice he was fast becoming a dot in front of me.

my mind voice: it wont be long before the audi and fiesta get bored following you. better move your behinds fast

me: no. speed limit 60-70. i wont cross the limit.

Ezhil: machi please **** to 4th gear da. why are you going so slowly?

Me: dei. in 5th gear at speed limit.

Ezhil: ok i am going to sleep!!

Even after this embarrassing conversation i decided to follow the speed limit and continue. reached the toll gate and continued on towards kovalam with the vtech and yamaha stopping every few kms for us to catch up.

Things became a little different once we crossed kovalam.
The fiesta and audi decided to leave me behind and go for a sprint. aravind and avinaash being over enthusiastic missd the ecr view point and kept driving. We cut short their ride and we regraouped at ecr view point where it was decided that we would have breakfast in hotel mamalla.

It turned out to be a very good decision.

After a light breakfast we started our drive to alamparai when this happened



After reaching the fort we had a fun time taking photos and discussing about everything and anything.

Aravind - showed me what a fiesta 1.6S is capable of
