Dont want to be knighted or anything, but when I replace the current set of tyres, it will not be the stock 165/80/R13 anyway. BTW, is 185/70/R13 the right upsize for the Baleno ? Whatever be the width/profile, it has to be an R13 tyre - am not changing rims anyway.

I gotta check this out one day soon - not on my car though.

No rear lift and all. LOL. But I saw a spoiler that was looking good on the Baleno - not sure if it is the stock Vxi one. Will go for spoiler only if I get that particular one.

Senji is a Nice place to go!
We may need to spend the whole day then!
2 hours or so ride, and the merciless sun will not spare us,
No place to hide in Senji/Jingi Fort !!

So lets keep it as a meet and not a drive! - wat say fellas?

Meet - just the outskirts of the city!

Whattabout " Thiruneermalai" - nice view, green surroundings, and just outside city? - but dunno how a kovil wud be treated as a meeting spot for us stags?

SB, gimme a call once you are in town.. One just needs to check that the tyre OD is same, else a difference in driving characteristics will occur.

I recently upsized from 175/70 R13 to 185/70 R13 and my OD has increased by 14mm. Hence the car has become taller! You could even try 196/60 R13 or 205/60s etc.. What do Baleno owners say..?

205/60/R13 is an overkill :D . I have a spare one lying with me. Check my gallery.
Also if you guys dint know the 185/70/R13 is expensive than the 195's.

Sorry for going OT and you chaps a fabulous meet .

SB, refer to the The Car Maintenance Bibles site for your needs, there is a tyre calculator there which will let you know what you want.

St.Thomas Mount seems a good idea to me. Let's decide on the time & meeting place. Being a Sunday, I suggest we meet at 11.00 or 11.30 am somewhere around the Kathipara junction, what say ?

Though i'm driving this car for past 3 years i'm not an expert driver as you might expect. Looking forward to meet all :)

Saturday or Sunday? We could try and meet inside IIT the next time if people have contacts inside it (just for getting the pass at the main gate) . We can have a peaceful discussion there. There is a cafe coffee day inside that and another restaurant close by if you wanna grab something during the meet.

Sorry guys for going OT with tyres.

I likey. :) Do we need to reserve a table or something? If so, can someone plan for this based on confirmed numbers ? Count me in.

So, as of now, we have only the day confirmed - Sunday 6th April.
Let us come to a decision about the POA for the day too.

Maybe just make this an F1 meet - meet at Woodlands around 3-4PM, chat for some time and then move to the hotel/bar. The drive can be
some other time.

A suggestion : Instead of just meeting, drinking and driving off, can we have some useful sessions at our meets too, so that we come back with some knowledge ? Something on the lines of the JeepThrills guys - their meets are so well planned and informative. clap:

We have so many experts who can give a session - eg. vikram can give a brief session about turbo-chargers or FFE or headers. Aditya, John etc can inform us about the pros and cons of their decision to mod their cars - installing FFE etc. I am sure there are more experts in our group.

I had raised this earlier too, but somehow, it did not happen yet.

Experts, are you game ?

Edit : John, just saw your post about meeting at WDI at 2PM. Sounds fine. What is the plan after that ?

Sunday April 6, 2.00 Pm.

SB, when we get there, there will be lots of things to discuss, please start whatever topic you feel like & we will proceed from there. Some people talk better over a drink, you know like a free flow.:D
