We had an overwhelming majority for the 13th out of the people that responded so far and that have participated in previous TBHP rides out of Chennai. 7..8 people available on the 13th versus two or three people on other days.

If the suggested time doesn't work out for you please suggest an alternate and we can look at that as well.

Thank you Suresh. I like Biryani too. At the first sight, the date looks all right. As this appears like 'eat fest' we might contemplate bringing the entire family.

Let this batch of rains, Navaratri etc finish?

October / November would be a decent choice for this drive.

I am sure the Bangalore people would join in too - they have logistics for such drives honed to a T thanks to @ RSudarsanam and others.

A 300 km run would be around 5 hours and doesn’t leave us with much time at the location so that’s a consideration as well. Let us plan for a longer stay so we don’t spend our time just driving, resting up and then returning back home?

If you want a weekend sort of itinerary there is the historic Vellore fort - and the town is equidistant between Chennai and Bangalore. Gives us plenty of time for lunch and sight seeing.

A good few bangalore bhpians are going to that heritage hotel near Karaikudi on the weekend of September 23-25 so that’s out I guess.

you can reach this place faster than you reach any place inside the "city". it's not far off unless you stay in arakkonam.
