I do remember the Adventure, but dont know the whole story behind it. And about radiator hose blowing, could happen to any car IMO.

And if we have to look for suitable conditions before ripping a car, can it be called ripping at all ?

If at all someone has heatstrokes, it would be the humans, not the cars (Jap or otherwise). So, are you getting the Ikon on track this time ? It is neither European nor Jap, so should handle the heat and stress, right ?

But, in my opinion & experience, the european Palio doesn't take too well to heat and high stress.

More than welcome bottle. There is no pre-requisite to attend any of the meets.

Do try and come for the track day. Me not driving either. For a change i'll bug the shutterbug's for some interesting lessons on photography.

Ok, this is news to me. So, it is not a one-off incident as I thought. Looks like nitrous thambi might have a point here. Hmmm.

And what about your Palio and that of your friend's, bottle ? Did you two also see such issues ?

OT: @neoranjit, were you part of the PhotoWalkers walk on the IT corridor ? There was an article on it in yesterday's DC, with some snaps.

Nitrous, you should NOT speak about events that somebody tells you. Did you witness anything..NO..so pls refrain from unnecessary publicity.

I think so too..A palio should be good fun on the track!

Do u know the story about 5u3zero's 1.6 and a radiator hose blowup?
Biju, I talk from experience and the concern of a fellow BHPians lovely italian beauty which needs to be ripped under suitable conditions.
If u've noticed the track day thread, Shan2nu has already given his concerns about bullet proof japanese having "heat strokes".

Come on, you dont need to xxxx the engine to enjoy the track..one could also drive sedately and learn the lines!!

The next meet would be on the track on coming Saturday 26th April. ie. if the track day is not cancelled.

If unfortunately track day does not happen on 26th, maybe we could have a Chennai-tbhp-meet on 27th Sunday.

We will know in a couple of days if the track day is on or not.

If it is called off why not drive to Pondy on sat 26th?

Nitrous would probably bring his shiny new truck (Safari Dicor).

What say guys?
