Of course you can fight in court, but once a FIR is registered, and you spend years circling courts etc., your whole life is ruined.
The Indian Judicial system is geared to serve the police, and not the citizen.

anyways hats of to the 4 musketeers.
I hope no FIR was lodged on paper.
If a criminal case is registerd lots of things like VIsa/job etc., get in jeopardy.
Again this is true only because most of us would NEVER contest anything in the court of law - most of us would prefer to pay up and leave.

I have always seen my lawyer friends get away with things you and me will get keel-hauled for! - and I have watched them keenly learned!!

Ofcourse, then you see movies like "Ab Tak Chappan" - and wonder.....

lol

I am not sure if i can comment because I did not have a first hand experience on the secenario that night. I woke the next morning and i was amazed to know the scenes that had happend in the last 7 hours or so. Hearing the comments I am sure there was no FIR or so that has been filed and it was all done purposely by the new DYSP who took over at that place. All in all a big EGO problem from the DYSP.

Absolutely - If there was an FIR then they would have to DEPOSIT the confiscated bottles - with seals intact - in the court.

Now what are the chances of that??

I don't need to see such movies, have met people at the receiving end of "Ab tak chappan". But that would be going seriously OT.
All I wanted to say was "Hats off to eh 4 musketeers for taking it all on them"

Please! Bhai logo aur beheno, can we stop I know more than you kinda posts regarding the Indian penal code and Police laws etc.? And also can we stop turning this thread into a law debate one?
Instead of finding out what is wrong and what is right, let's enjoy the bovine splitting/spine chilling reports and pics? Shall we? Please!

This is what happens when reports don't come in thick and fast. So time to move on with the reports. would like to request the mods to clean up the posts, so as to keep the thread hilarious, and focused on the actual report.

I get the sms from RipperGeo about the trek at 5:30am. I haven't slept yet. All the while, been in constant touch with our 4 musketeers. I wanted to laugh at the sms but at that moment of time, I felt like giving him a full on bitch slap! LOL!! Sorry Ripper, hope you understand my condition then.
I log on to the forum to see if anything has been put up here yet. Noop! That's a relief.
Suddenly, my eyes fall on a post from RipperGeo asking about the Trek. Poor doc! He hasn't yet come to the reality and is well confined in his room and virtual world.

It's not long before I get phone calls and knock knocks on the door. Now, I don't remember what Ripper was saying or trying to make me understand. Yes, my senses had given up to very sloopy eyes and I was wondering what am I doing at the door when I'm supposed to be in the bed!

To be continued in bits and pieces soon..

well, I'm glad I SMSed and did not turn up at your door at 5.30 asking for a full on bitch slap!

The first person I actually called was KLM. I said- Are you awake? what was last night like? and what about the trek?

thats when he replies(his humor was wearing thin at this point)
"what bloody trek? I'm in the Police station!"

After getting some of the details from him, i marched upto the receptionist's room, and find out that the poor chap has also been dragged off to the sasuraal!

the cook adds more spice to the mess by saying the police had caught women too.

By now, I'm in a full on panic, because I thought they had picked up the ladies travelling with us.
This is when I started calling people in earnest.
I finally hit pay dirt with ASHVIN, because, whoever else I called was either not reachable or had no clue of what happened.

ASHVIN passed the phone to steer who asked me to wake up zak.
So actually...the person wanting the bitch slap is Steer

Thats when I started banging on the door.I had to resort to that method because, even though the door bell was harsh enough to wake the dead, it was not waking zak.

Its well known that zak is not a morning person, and I promise my banging on the door was as gentle as possible.

Okay now will someone post the remainder?

1. Veelubhai episode (small one) if necessary.

2. Expected Offroading in Vagamon and the return trip.

That should pretty much round off the story.

Now for some pics from iraghava's camera - I had transferred the contents of his cam into mine as he is well known for posting pictures on time. We are still awaiting last year's pictures!

Found at Thodupuzha, Dr Louis' sasuraal. Now why didnt he tell us about this?

Wrong.

Right.

So keep the story flowing, folks.

p.s: I wanted to get some things completed today, and do some work. And all I have done all day is to keep checking this thread for updates to know more about the mis-adventures our pals have been up to.

My 5 cents

Steer you should definitely try your hands on Script Writing. Its amazing to see that you have framed the whole story well.

And here...I post some of the snaps that we could manage on the way through the DRIVE

I will meander my way slowly while the story goes. I propose to process the photos a tad faster then my normal routine.

Here is one shot just after the completion of the 12 hair pin climb and to the viewpoint which overlooks the valley.
This is prior to the Lunch on Day 1

A lot Red vs Red here. the small size limit of 500k tends to develop artifacts. the big size can be found here.

So many things happened that night !

I enjoyed every bit of this meet. The d.r.i.v.e, the d.r.i.n.k, the stay, and the story. Though reading the story now is funny, I got really pi**ed off when ripper tells me that there were cops here in the night and probably some guys have been arrested. I don't know who are the 4 musketeers, but thank you guys for volunteering and keeping us out of all the trouble.

This meet is a great experience for me. More than 1000 kms in 2 days, a bit of offroading at Vagamon, and terrific night drive on the return journey.

The drink was great too. First time in my life I finished 1/2 bottle of rum in 1 session. The cheap guest from Delhi was giving all BC - MC gaalis, and I did not know when I finished the drink.

Here are some pics
