How about HAMPI?
I heard there is a place near HAMPI, its an alternative to GOA albeit on a smaller scale.

There is one particular season, i will get back on it, give me some time.

PS: We are seriously hijacking this thread. Why dont we start a new thread or continue in a thread which already exists on similar lines.

T-Bhpians (Non-Safari owners) you could always hitch a ride with a fellow KING owner to participate as suggested by dadu. We are team aren’t we however this is a collage of T-BHP King owners.

If its Hampi, AND if its the first week of OCtober, I am IN.....any later, then I have to go to Delhi for Diwali/annual vacation to the hills.

CITY: Hyderabad
Distance: round trip of upto 1200 kms is OK (since I have a time constraint) So HAmpi or Vizag works for me.
WHEN: 1st/2nd week of Oct.

Suggestions from NORTH, WEST & EAST Needed!

Guys, its been almost 24hrs since this thread is up and we have only 2 places suggested ? GOA and HAMPI?

Beast owners from NORTH, WEST and EAST suggestions guys...time to leave the steering wheel (infact leave whatever you do and take exact 5mins) and punch in the city you would like this meet to happen and ofcourse please read all criteria we have rolled out.

Awaiting your valueable inputs, want to get a POLL out by Next week. This is just the High level planning phase and its going real slow.

Its time to hit the best gear there is - 3rd Gear.

Cheerio!

That just did it. Nitrous is not going anywhere. Even if he is, he is going to sneak out of chennai in his 'beast'.

Nagpur

From: To: Distance (Km)
Kolkata Nagpur 1124
Chennai Nagpur 1083
Bangalore Nagpur 1049
New Delhi Nagpur 1012
Mumbai Nagpur 863

Nagpur would pretty much be the center given the number of cities folks are coming from.

Also - Daman is about 180 Kms from Mumbai - that would make it about 1000kms from all other cities. You guys could look at that.

Guys ,

Took really long to locate this thread.

No GOA for me- nothing about the distance from Bangy to Goa, i wouldnt mind. It would be difficult for you guys to search me around the city as i would anyways go searching about for VW's there. rather than attend the meet.

Hampi- Its a good place to go, for its exotic ancient temples and good food, but its almost a dry and hot city.

KARWAR- , what say guys......?

Looks like this is strictly Safari business. Anyway I am out then as I like the driver's seat the most in these looong drives. Dont enjoy hitching

Karwar is a nice option. Have been there on business long time ago, but did not get time to checkout what the place has to offer.

@Pawan, could you elaborate on what to expect in Karwar ?

Poll!

Figured Place would take long time to decide rather we need to consider suggestions faster...so only way to know what is a good majority of safari owners in regions of India here's the poll that gives out your current location.

Whichever region has the most of Safari's can help finalise the place they want the Meet to be. Majority wins.

I think West would bag this but surely South and North should not be far behind.

Safari owners VOTE only!

Vote-ON!

Hello All;

Me & Gowda79 are ready anywhere around 1500kms.

Happy to see so many responses. If people are driving from across India i am getting some weird Idea.

The idea is " Why dont we drive some Message to the world / India behind it?" Eg. Pollution Control, Education, Distributing Books / Old Clothes to the village people on the way, Driving Discipline, Dont Drink & Drive, Save Fuel , etc etc.

If we are driving some message we might get some sponsors also..

Guys just think on this, instead of just driving, lets drive with some motto, which can be helpful for others.

I am ready driving without any message also

Regards
Deepak
