Hyderabad - Bangalore Mid Way Meet!

you have completely mistaken me.

I was suggesting,
1. lets make this meet happen at Yercaud itself for the October.

2. Have another meet (this time as mid-way) at Humpi in November.

ideal time "meet" is already happening and that's the Mehfil !!! . You'll have to come up with a better excuse to meet up , lol :-) . Not that we Hyderabadi's need one , but atleast to convince a fair share of Bangaloreans to make it, else they will be outnumbered :-).What was it 20 odd cars from Hyd to Vikarabad and that was with a few drop outs!

april 10th is good friday ka chutti ,so thats again a long weekend ,we can do it during that time.

after seeing the mumbai-pune meet thread ,i am truely inspired to do a similar meet with our bangalore fellows.(should work to be 250km either ways isnt it)

so guys what do you think? lets do it man

hyd folks we can discuss this during our ghazal meet!

someone please take the lead from bangalore.

Not sure how many of us have holiday on 10th Apr. But I don't have.

Anyway, where are we meeting up Lol...

Jyothi, Why dont you give us a confirmed minimum number that can do this mid-way meet from Bangalore for April or May'09?

At the same time, i can outline some confirmed numbers from our end by 1st week of April ( Btw, keep a look out as we are having a mega ghazal meet on Apr 3rd, so will discuss with folks then and let you know)

avi ,this has to be a overnight if you want to enjoy the meet in the true sense.

else it will be more like touch and go.

was looking at the history of the thread ,saw some place called 'gooty' as the destination or was it hampi as well.

btw mjothi: is btirthankar still in bangalore?

11th is Saturday & a holiday. Clubbed with the long weekend, many should be able to make it.

Absolutely. And, we dont need a holiday for this meet. We can do as follows :-

Hyd-to-some location mid-way to bangalore (250 kms away)

Start at 12:00pm from Hyderabad on Saturday and reach destination at 5pm. Spend the evening and night in the hotel with bangalore tbhpian's. Next day, have breakfast together and head back to Hyderabad.

Carpooling would be the best way to make this work better.

As always, I am game any weekend from April 17/18th

Guys, the question is- where will you have this mid way meet.

the highway from Hyd to Blr is absolutely barrent and bereft of any decent halt. Even the A1 plaza in gooty is no more.

So if this is to be an overnight meet, we should plan for some place that is equidistant from Hyd -Blr, but not necessarily on this h/way.

There is another meet planned by the chennai/bangalore team-bhpians. I guess the location is going to be either pondichery or yelagiri. I hope the dates don't clash.
