Nice and informative discussion guys! But, we shall not divert from the main topic of this thread: Salkeshpur Camping.

We can continue this discussion about tow ropes and all in a separate thread.

Man. it needed 3 people to even lift that tow rope. :-)

Says Winch ‐ 9000lbs. Lol good joke when you cant find one in INDIA!
@yamaniac: Its not a joke. If you intend to acquire one, you will get it in India. But at what price is the question. Winches are available but are exorbitantly priced. So one need to search hard or save hard

Friends,

All those planning to come to the meet, can you please PM me your mobile number & contact details? (inder, jaguar, IronWolf, Kitti, vaspro, PhrozenFire, vis-racing, dicore)

For rest of the folks, I have your number.

PS: I would advise against posting your mobile number on an open thread. So PM only.

Cheers,

Hi Khan,

Where did you get thermal mat for the Tent ? How much did it cost? Is it the same as the Sleeping Pad on Ozone website?

. .. Not thermal mat Inder. It's a thermo-foam mat. You can get it easily in 'upholstery shops'. 16mm think one would cost you approx Rs 120/- per meter. 12mm one would cost you approx Rs 95/- per meter.

It's the same as shown in the ozone website.

Ozone also has one more variety for ~350 for 1 mat (it looks more chic and sophisticated than the black thermo-foam mat).

khan_sultan / chandan,

For those sleeping at chandan's cottage, I'm assuming we have to bring our own blankets. Can you please confirm?
