I know a much better place for Galauti Kebabs.

But if Al Kauser is byob place, then its different story, otherwise there are other better places than it.

Al-Kauser is not BYOB. What's this other place Shashank and location?

Aap Ki Khaatir at Nizamuddin, its a roadside eatery, however Kebab lovers agree that they have the best Kebabs in Delhi.

Last time when we were at Al Kauser's, my friends just tasted and left the entire plate of Kebabs, because they didn't like them at all.

Tanveer is doubtful for the 6th (flying back from Goa) & Samurai & family are also driving down from someplace - why not keep it for the 7th evening?

By the way, all our "Navratra" fans, please note that you guys are going to be Veg & "dry" on these dates

7th October is a Tuesday and Ashtami ...my vote is for the following weekend, i.e. 10th, 11th or 12th October.

We will be going to Jaisalmer on 8th early morning, so 7th early evening or 7th lunch is fine.
So the cheap guest will not be there on 10th 11th or 12th October

Shashank, do read the entire thread mate so that you know why these two dates (6th & 7th October) have been chosen

Shashank - Is Aap ki Khatir located in the basti area of Nizamuddin or inside one of the narrow lanes before the PS?? If so then we'll have to skip that because there will be families attending & I don't think that area would be very nice. Maybe we can do a 'normal' meet there some other time.

Guys - 7th lunch is tough for me, how about the others?? Otherwise it's 7th early evening then?

its on the main road. When we come to Nizamuddin Dargah from India gate, just take right turn from the Round about before the Dargah/Humayun's Tomb. Its on that road itself.

Not earlier than 7.30 I guess - so that we can wrap up at a "decent" hour (say 10.30 max)

By the way, with families attending, I'm not very comfortable about landing up at BYOB type of joints - we should look for a family-joint kind of place that has a bar licence & serves alchohol. That way, whosoever wants to drink can do it 'legitimately' & the overall crowd is not likely to be "suspect". Just my two cents

You mean it's on Lodhi Road? The same road which has the HUDCO office after the red light, right?

7:30 is good, what say TSK/Samu?

I agree with you Suman, BYOB joints are out for this one. As for alcohol, Suman most good Kebab joints are owned by Muslim families/individuals so there are hardly any places with liquor licences. How about we have a no alcohol meet this time around? Or people can make their own arrangements.

Or should we shift this meet to an Mughlai food joint with a bar rather then a Kebab joint?
