So far we have not did any calculation for the cost. But it should be FUEL + stay + Food expense. We are waiting for info on the stay and how it is arranged. So, based on that we can have some projection.

Assuming you are doing full GQ, the stay may be anywhere between 10-12 nights.

EDIT: Sorry. I mistook the query for the GQ expense. For Leh, I have no idea. Probably HVKumar, sudev and others would help.

I had a look at the holidays for 2009 (we salaried class have to look a lot at leaves ) and found the best bet is from 12.09.09 to 05.10.09

How will these days be for Leh, and the roads?

Read today in Autocar India, thes best time is mid august to september.

It's too early to decide on holidays right now. But one thing, I cannot get my vehicle to Leh. So unless, some kind-hearted tbhpians from Bangalore agree to have me in their ride, I cannot make this!

For fuel calculate for atleast 2000kms.
