By saying family meet is not to dicourage bachelors from attending, it is to encourage the members to get along their wives, kids mummies, girlfriends etc. so that they know what all those strange names we may mumble in our sleep mean and generally have a nice time, also, for us married guys talking about having a picnic with only the guys on a holiday is akin to killing oneself very slowly and painfully.

By all means, have no qualms and do join us.

Is someone here mentioning that only guys visit these forums. i'm sure there are some women among the posters too... sure would be sad if there weren't. they say a women offer a different opinion. maybe its just a way to keep em happy by keeping them out. :-D luke i understand that sunday will be hard on some but i'm sure it will be easier for the lot of us who still have work on saturday. sunday roads will be empty too.

I would think decisions would be made closer to the date of the meet and keeping that in mind believe that there would be additions to this group. Even if there aren't looks like a nice group so no worries.

More the ppl the merrier it's gonna be, BTW if everybody carries breakfast for everybody else, it's gonna be a huge quantity, so my suggestion would be a few of us bring breakfast for all members, a better way according to me would be to order a packed breakfast from some hotel and carry it along.

Hari, instead of packing breakfast. We will buy bread, butter, jam, chips, boiled eggs for breakfast. It is ideal for picnic.
2-3 of us will take the initiative to buy the stuffs (much like what we did for the farm meet).

Also like the farm meet, let one person do the spending for better accountability. we will collect some money (Rs250 / head) when we meet up at the meeting point after Yelahanka (Yes, we will assemble after crossing yelahanka Bypass and then proceed). We will collect a fixed Rs50 / head if anybody wants to skip lunch.

After lunch we will do the hisab kitab and settle the individual kharchha and finally dispurse.

Hope people will like the plan.

Abhi, your idea also seems viable, now about the lunch part, how do we manage to fit in all the ppl in a dhaba as per the initial plan, honestly, I don't know too many places on that road, so if anybody knows of a good place between Chickaballapur and Yelahanka pls let us know.
