Am hearing bad reviews of it even before it has started. Are you sure if you want to conduct this meet.

Well going by last years show this year will also be a damp squib. JBL stall was the only saving grace last year. The kitchen show next door was much bigger than the vaahan yatra.

Nope this time I don't think there will be a JBL stall at all. Last time wasn't too great apart from the JBL stall.

Compared to Mumbai's Autocar Performance show the Vaahan Yatra is really hopeless.

Problem is that people still visit the stupid show in numbers and so organizers are still to learn a lesson Seriously, except JBL stall nothing else was worth mentioning for and even JBL stall here was nothing compared to what they had in Mumbai.

Why dont we all meet elsewhere instead of there since nothing worth seeing is there and just have a leisurely catch up ?

yeah jay, lets just meet somewhere, ok to keep all the vaahan yatra goers happy. We can catch up in the whitefield area. So people can also visit it if they feel like.

Went to the show (if it can be called that, it looked more like a dealer-level OEM hangout). Was hopeless as expected, started and finished sooner than I thought. And yes, the household expo in the same hall probably covered five times the area.

Utter disappointment in lieu of travelling to the other end of the town. The only aftermarket stalls were Methods, Kumar's and another accessory shop in K'mangla apart from some JC Road two-wheeler aftermarket dealers. OEMs were in full strength, God knows why, from Maruti to Honda, Skoda to Nissan. One can glance at all the stalls in less than 7-8 minutes. No kidding. In fact, I was so pissed I went around to see the household expo even though I wasn't even remotely interested. At least I wasted another 15-20 minutes avoiding people trying to sell me chappati makers.

Sheesh. All in all, a complete waste of an evening. Sincere advice: Don't even think of taking an outing and ruining your weekend, unless you want to see the 'other' expo and go back home with contraptions you are never gonna use more than once in your lifetime.
