NY Auto Show? When's that? I'm game anyways...

Was great meeting all you guys. Definitely have to do this again.
You said it Satya! We all had an AMAZING time thanks to the fantastic route mapped out by Harbir.

ps. Trust me - the earlier Chevy Malibu was crappier - the one you got was much much better.

You've stolen Rehaan's french beard. You're also driving on the wrong side of the road. Infact, all of you are. Gosh! Things people do when they land in the US.
Remember when you guys met (when Sharath was in Bombay) and R turned up without a beard - that's when it happened!
Aree bhai, we drive on the right side of the road - so how is it wrong?

BlackPearl & all you guys who missed out - do make it to the next drive. Would have loved to have you guys along.
california_dude, if you're still following this thread - I have your number so we'll be sure to include you in the next time around.

It was absolutely great meeting you folks!
My apologies to the folks who got late for their commitments in the evening. Including the hot mama ones!
I've never stretched the 335i's legs the way I did last weekend. It was a pleasure to see how much latent potential the car has that isn't even touched on the regular Interstate / highway runs.

Thomaston actually was reminiscent of a small town in upstate NY called Cortland, which is a similar dead town only slightly bigger.
Yes, Roxbury did mell well with the CT upper class genre.
Man, your Elise - the cornering is FLAT! I haven't seen anything that corners so well - aside from maybe an Atom (on TV), I guess. Very very impressive!
I definiltey need to start making more money.

I'll be in Herndon, VA next weekend. Maybe we can meet up for a while.

Compared to what you, Ahmed & Sid have posted - my pictures stink. I just have a few of the dam, and 2 of the cars. I'm not very active with my camera, unfortunately.

Hey, I'm in for the NY Auto Show, but only on the weekend; so whoever's there let's make plans!

All you Cherry Blossomers - if you guys're planning to be in D.C. on a weekday let me know or do try and make a stop over in Baltimore for lunch / snacks.

oh, the BMW 335i, when fitted with the sport package is a PHENOMENAL back road car. It has superb steering, exquisite handling, and a brilliant easily exploited engine. Easily one of my absolute favorite cars. the E30 is of course a legend, but the E36, E46, and E90 fitted with sport package (as yours is) are also absolutely top class cars. It is not unreasonable to say that the the 3 series BMW is probably the best all round car in the world for anybody who loves to drive.

I would love to get an E46 330i Sport package again. Or maybe an E90 330i/325i/328i. The 335i has a turbocharged version of the old M54 engine that was in my 330i. the E90 325i/328i/330i has the new N52/N53 engine which is an extremely light engine, the lightest 6 cyl car engine in the world and I really like how that removes a substantial amount of weight from the nose of the car, positively affecting steering and handling. Less power than the monster twin turbo 335i of course, but I think I could be very happy with 218-255hp

Brilliant cars, the 3 series.

PS. you need this: 410hp upgrade for the 335i! Vishnu Performance Systems

That will make your car faster than an E39 M5.

If you guys are meeting on Sunday (12th April), then I would probably able to join you for NY Auto Show. That weekend is a long weekend because of Good Friday. So mostly I will be in DC on Friday and Saturday.

Ads,
Will you be in Baltimore on Good Friday??

I am surely going to be in the next time provided the bloody systems do not play any games. I cannot express how I felt when I started feeling that things were getting out of control on Friday evening :-(

Awesome !!!

Guys the pics are awesome!

It was a beautiful day, the first Spring like day.

It is a bummer that I had to work that day and could not join

I hope that the next meet happens soon and I am able to join everyone for a fun day.

It's a little far off for a drive but maybe a mid-way meet could be possible.
Something to think about, definitely!

Guys, anybody up for the NY Auto Show this weekend?

Yeah ! Why not !!

Washington DC Cherry Blossoms plans are washed out because of incessant rains forecast on the whole weekend. Have some work on Friday. But anytime on saturday or sunday should be fine for me.

@Harbir

Is your Elise being displayed at NY auto show?

Also, for a first time in many years, I checked out the list of new cars being shown in NY auto show, and not a single one was interesting !!

Happened to visit the NY auto show today...its pretty blah..nothing exciting besides the astons, few lambo's and the roller drophead coupe. The new Hyundai Genesis is awesome, really ! And the alfa bat 11 was good too, I had high expectations from the show but it was quite a downer..
