what material is the piping made of dom?

also how much would a type 1 to type 2 conversion cost?

saw a front conversion once looked nice when seen from front, but since the rear was old type it didnt look that good,so if u are doing the conversion do both the sides
the one which i have in my car is a fluoroplastic.. you get nylon based, polythene bases etc....

a type 1 to type 2 conversion is from inexpensive to expensive.... if you get scrap parts from accident type 2's the parts will cost about 25 - 30k for the front Hood, Fenders, Bumber, Grille, top member, Rear boot lid, rear bumper. Painting depends on where you get that done... preferably paint the complete car if you do this.....

In the company this conversion may go upto a lac... and 40k for painting. Infact the company is changing all accident type 1s to type 2 as there is a scarcity of parts for the type 1.

To convert the rear is a bit work, because the rear boot lid is narrow at the bottom and you will need to do a little cotting on both the panel sides... pretty easy though.. and you dont need to change anything else as the rear lights fit in the type 1 fitting, just the sides as mentioned will need to be cut. And ofcourse the new bumber....

doing the conversion is about 2 days work... painting depends on where and who...

Cheers
Dom

my exam is ending on 4th June (Saturday)
So 5th june will also be a good idea.

and also looking at last pune meet attempts my me & simran it will be a nice idea to plan atleast two weeks in advance.
anyways if you guys will be going after 4th do let me know i'll be there

Dom, have you considered moving your battery to the rear so your intake gets a bit more breathing room?
