You can also have a look at the numerous pre owned car dealerships around the Paramatta road. You can bargain for a good price.
Carcity is a pre owned car mart and you can get a better bargain there.
Cheers maite have a great time here!!
Thanks SMK,

Will surely visit Paramatta road dealers on Thursday.. coz that day i dont have uni and one of my friend is free to accompany me..

I was in SYD for about 5 months, but that was way back in last year.

Holden's are much popular there, so are the Civics and Accords.

I even saw a fully charged up Dodge Charger -- yes, with a left hand drive

I am planning for a business trip to Sydney & Brisbane in March and what to take a small break.
What are the good places to see in these 2 cities ? Not the run-of-the-mill stuff but something different that you would not find in any other countries.

Search on ebay Australia.

Just make sure that you buy a vehicle with ample rego and CTP on it. Getting the rego done is a headache..especially when you have to get the blue slip etc..

I was in sydney for 6 years of which I drove on my Indian license for a whole year. since its a commonwealth nation the do allow you to drive on it for a year. I got my full Australian (black) by the end of my second year.

If you get an import - Please make sure to get FULL comprehensive insurance. car theft is really high in Sydney.

Make sure to sign up for the REPCO newsletter / membership. They have awesome discounts all year round.

Parking in the CBD ranges from AUD 2.5 - AUD 20!! Parking fines start at around AUD 75!!

NOTE: You have to stop on "STOP" signs and "zebra crossings" . This will be the most difficult thing to follow for the first month..

Melbourne Meet, anyone?

Hi,

Having recently relocated to Melbourne, I was wondering if there are an TBHPians here and if so, we could maybe all meet up.

My suggestion is the XMas week or the week after, before the offices start functioning again

Do let us all know.

Cheers

Another bhpian from Hyderabad, CtrlAltDel is in Melbourne on work. I think he will be leaving soon to India. I will check with him, if he has time to attend the meet.

Not chosen a city yet. I still have to study the job prospects there. I suppose you have already relocated going by your location to Melb?
