Well the OHC's will be able to manage that but the Ikon cant for sure.

OT - Lalan..chk these guys Rims - 2004 Ford Ikon 1.6Sxi Rocam - audiophile's Photo Gallery - Team-BHP, btw we really need to do it early this time considering teh expressway is one way towards lonavla and the monsoons are attracting crazy crowds. 7 am departure is a must to enjoy the drive!

I was there last week and let me tell you 7 am is late. We were stuck in the exp way for an hour even after taking only a 10 min stop at the food mall.

Lets leave earlier if possible.

Going by the old highway through the lonavla ghats will be a low speed but exciting affair whereas by the expressway would be a high speed but a bit boring option.
I suggest we plan such that so we cover both the ways..maybe by the Old highway going up and by the expressway when comin back.

How about food at Sunny da dhaba on our way back, as we all will be hungry, we eat there and take the express way on our way back.

Sunny da dhabha is way ahead of lonavla..i think ramakrishna would be better. Im in if we plan to depart by 7am. I have no intention of wasting my drive and sunday stuck in rush hour traffic!

Guys,
The drive by the old highway is going to be slow but adventurous thro the steep curves of the Khandala ghat whereas by the Expressway is going to be speedy but straight and hence quick.
I suggest we test our rides on both ways for which we can choose the Old way to go up and the Expressway while returning thus ensuring 100% drive satisfaction.
