Mumbai June/July Monsoon Drive 2009

I might have to skip this one :( Some ignition problems with the car. Keeps shutting down at idle and low RPMs. Drives fine though. But can't take the chance. Can't get it rectified in such a short time anyways.

hi guys n gals,
been there last Sunday. Left from south Mumbai late at 9:00am, and had a smooth uneventful drive. There was just a minor hold up at one point in the ghats due to some truck break-down. Did not feel any ghat as such on the E'way. T'was more like going on a flyover in Mumbai; so no sweat. But the sights were really good, what with the mist, fog, rain, and shine, all interposed in dynamic and interesting ways. If you have even half a heart to go then make sure to just do it. Here's one pix to entice you.

Ok here is the updated list with the cars, the meru cab was a joke.....or was it?

Yeah, 'twas a joke. Do have my car which can accomodate 3 more, but if there is a big speed bump, be prepared to get out of the car and get back in after I've gone over the bump lol

Seeing the situation in bombay going against private cabs, we may get the regular yellow & black fiat. So we may need to leave a day earlier to reach on time!

On a serious note:
Viper may come 50% (tentative) and i may get my OHC if afzal fixes my FFE today.
Jasher26 is also on the tentative list.

Anyone asked Jitu & Dippy.

Yup, neither of them coming. Tejas, quietening your FFE? I talked to Viper this morning and he told me he was 99% in. Someone update the list.

My Sis and kids are landing on Sunday morning, more or less I'm in, I have never been kalti.com i'm sure some of you know, But if I am coming I will be straight at the meeting point, so will check the thread for latest status on the meet and come accordingly.

Hey guys I too have a situation which would make my presence a bit dicey.
My wife delivered a baby boy just 2days back so making me a Papa.
She's fine but expects my 100% attendence till she gets discharged.
I'm on the job to patofy her to and get her consent for the drive. If I succeed you shall see my at the meeting point for sure.
Don't want to miss this event so wish me luck....

Anyways where is the meeting point???
