It's that time of the week again...

Alright, I know you guys did a drive just last Sunday. I also know, that I wasn't there, I sulked at home, dividing time between my books and the drive pictures.

Butttt, there is a Sunday coming up, and I have no exams anymore, so I propose a drive. I know it's a little back to back, but with rains waiting to lash the country, this could be a last drive for a little while now. So before our spirits get damped ( ), lets get out while the sun is still shining.

So in a little consultation with NH specialist, SpeedSatya, I came up with a couple of options:

1). NH 8 Ahmedabad Road, To Manor. Distance: About 60 kms from Dahisar Check Naka.

2). Bordi Beach, something like 140 kms from Dahisar. In Satya's words " Raapchik jagah" Or Bordi Beach is 24 kms from Dahanu.

3). Mumbai-Manor-Dahanu: Dahanu is 50 kms from Manor, so that should be about 115 kms.

All are approximate distances from Mulund, because that's where Satya stays.

Also roads are part of the Golden Quad project, so good roads.

Any other suggestions welcome too.

Can't say I didn't give it a shot.

Cheers.
PH.

arre dost,

manor is about 60 kms from dahisar check naka.

dahanu is via manor on the nh8 ahmedabad road.

manor-kasa=26kms -----nh8
after kasa u have to take a left for dahanu which is around 28kms froms kasa.

from dahanu u have the option of going to bordi beach which is another 25kms from dahanu.

so manor- bordi beach is around 80kms.but the roads are such that u can average 70-80kph from dahisar to kasa.

so one way trip should take a max of about 3-4 hours.

so those staying around navi mumbai ,chambur or the central suburbs can take the eastern express till thane and then the ghodbander road till it reaches the nh8.

fo r those from the western suburbs its the western express highway throughout.

Quote:

because that's where Satya stays.

satya is not saying ,the Outlook traveller"52 weekend breaks from mumbai"says so

so dahisar chek naka to manor=60kms

dahisar chek naka to dahanu = 115 kms(approx)

and

dahisar to bordi beach = 140kms (Approx)

Not sure about this weekend, so reserving my right to vote at a later date!

P.s. Why can't we go for a drive in the rains? Roof leaks or something?

if its this coming sunday , forget about being not sure - IM surely OUT !

so next sunday i mite be able to make it....but the sunday after next will be perfect i think. the rains will have settled down nicely till then and we would be aware of the road conditions too...so planning a venue would be easier ...thats what my brains say at the moment.

you guys are free to castigate me !
