Err, that's going to be one heck of a wrong turn.

But yeah, route is completely open to change (one of the perks of not driving with a group) so will definitely let you know if I'm headed North instead.

Didn't do it. An old friend was in town for the weekend.

Am still waiting for Lotusman & Bimmerman so we can all do another decent drive before winter kicks in. I really want to take that 'vette for a spin again.

The latest Camaro - based on the Pontiac G8.

Avis rents the Camaro LT (V6) at select locations, and some locations even carry the Camaro SS (V8) - I know SFO has one.

The cost varies from location to location. Log onto Avis.com and try renting a camaro from one of the locations in/near philly - it'll give you an estimate. Reserving a car on avis is free (no credit card required) so you can try different combos. Only thing is that the Camaro isn't available at all Avis locations. Typically only at airport locations and some premium non-airport locations.

Same with the Corvette and Hertz.

heads up!

The issues that screwed me up and prevented this drive are now starting to be resolved, hopefully within this week. Satya and I will try to make this trip within the next 2-3 weeks.

Any riders/drivers who want to join, nows the time to start planning!

lets do this!!

EDIT: oh crap. I forgot, my parents are coming to visit. dunno if I can/should get away for a weeend while they are here. I'll keep you guys posted. I think I can send them off to visit other relatives in DC over some weekend and then go do this drive. Let me see if I can do that, in the meantime, anybody who wants to go, clear your calendars

I think I'll be able to join you guys. Have something planned for the Thanksgiving weekend, but other than that I should be flexible.

Will probably join in a rental, if I get something nice, as I want to try and avoid reaching the 50,000 mile mark on my car before the end of this year.

Perhaps we could attempt a run with 3 yellow streaks? 1 Lotus & 2 Corvettes?

It'll be difficult to source 2 Corvettes. Maybe a Corvette & a Camaro.

I actually have something in mind - nothing exotic but there's a rental place in MD, which rents out premium segment cars for a lower price than Hertz / Avis and the lot.
