Chennai Ramadaan meet?

Hey all,
I can see some Ramadaan meets happening in some cities. The idea of course is to gorge on some sumptous, lip-smacking food in the Ramadaan season.
When I was in Mumbai last year I almost made it to the Mumbai Ramadaan meet organised by our enterprising T-Bhpians there.
This year I am spending Ramzan in Chennai. I was wondering if there are some like minded souls who would be interested in going for iftar parties or dinner binges in this season.

Anything along these lines happening in Chennai? Ramadan is around the corner. Surely there are many spots to hit in town for some excellent Haleem, Nihari, Paaya, Mirchi ka saalan, Qubani ka meetha, and more....

How about an Iftar for team-bhp members on some nights? I know some places near Jaan Jahaan road that serve some sumptous delicacies.

So how about it?

Anyone knows about any eateries/restaurants which serve Haleem and other Iftaar food items ? I am sure there must be some in the vicinity of the Thousand Lights mosque and the Triplicane area in general.

I came across a newspaper article which mentioned that there are some restaurants which are open before sunrise, only during Ramzan, where one can have the pre-fast meal.

Went for Ramadaan buffet at Fisherman's fare at casa major road. Buffet was good for 299/- but haleem was not that good, just had lil.

Hey guys, Sorry for the silence, was out of town.

There are a few places in town where one can get decent haleem and other goodies and at the same time find a place to park our vehicles as well. The Sea Shell chain of restaurants is a good start, same with Triana.

I was however keen on getting the street food kinda stuff - nothing to beat it. This is available around Moore street and some joints near Jam Bazaar. Both the places however are not very car-park friendly.

Since this is going to be a first-of-its-kind meet, I think we should meet in good environs. So I suggest the SeaShell at Anna nagar.

How about a Ramadaan meet on the 16th Thursday evening around iftaar time (1830~1900hrs)?
