I am also OK on 17th (Sunday). Since this is my first meet with TBHP, would like to know what exactly will the meet be like. I plan to bring my wife as well alongwith heir to my automotive interests - my son.

The last mumbai-pune meet was as per the following. We can change it here and there.

8.00am
Plans normally are to meet at any four stopping points in mumbai.
1. Borivili - i believe on the highway near borivalli bridge. you will have to confirm with borivili guys.
2. Andheri - outside domestic airport on the highway.
3. bkc - after the bkc bustop when we would take the left from WE highway towards Dharavir.
4. somewhere on the NRI strech. you will have to confirm with vashi guys. (not sure of the exact location. Kindly update.)

After that its a drive via Mumbai pune express high way to lonavla. Snack at Food Mall on expressway. Meeting up with Pune guys at Kamat's hotel below the expressway, just after the Mumbai to Lonavla exit.

From there by Old Lonavla - Pune highways to Tony Da Dhaba for lunch and long discussions on everything.

By 3-4 leave to return to Mumbai by express way. Pune guys leave for Pune from toni da dhaba directly via old highway.

Other plans could be to drive up to tiger hill on the way to amby valley, BUT being a sunday, we are going to probably get half naked drunk guys dancing behind Tavera and Qualis's to Dancebar music.

So i feel Toni D Dhaba would be a better environment for our auto discussions.

1. I agree Tony Da Dhaba would be better than Lonavala. Apart from the dancers who wants to get stuck in the usual Sunday Jam.

2. Assembly point at Vashi Navi Mumbai.
I recommend that we assemble at the BP pure for Sure on Palm Beach road.

As you come down the bridge from Vashi or join via the slip road, you will hit the first traffic light on palm beach, the left goes to Sanpada. Continue straight with all the new high rises to your left. Take the sweeping right hand curve and drive up to the second traffic light. It is a T junction with the left turn going into Nerul. The pump is about 60 meters ahead on the left on the Palm beach road itself just before the slanted buildings complex.

The advantage in meeting here is that anyone who needs a refill/air can do so right here while waiting for the group to assemble. Also the large gathering of cars will be difficult for anyone to miss at the beginning of the arrow straight stretch.

Please post your agreement for this being the final assembly point and the approximate time that guys coming from Bombay would arrive there.

Just a suggestion, I dont think tony da dhaba food is anymore worth eating, his quality has really deteriorated in comparision to what he use to serve earlier, lets shift this to Sunny da dhaba (it is on the same stretch, little ahead for people coming from pune, and before tony for people going from Mumbai)which is on the same road with good parking space etc, we have done a meet their earlier and we can ask for some discount as well.
