Hello Guys!

I suggest we meet up as follows:

Venue: Near the Gate No. 6 of the Zabeel Park.
Time: 3.00 pm (looks ideal to me)

The venue is near the little section of Zabeel Park which has the Cricket Ground as well.

Access from Exit 2, Trade Centre R/A from AUH-DXB Direction.

Please can we have the confirmations now.

I am located at Al Qusias 1 and stuck with no transport. I will try to buy a temporary sim today.

Pretty new to Dubai. i saw google map, zabeel park is nearby Al Karama. is somebody from my area ? , getting a ride to destination would be great. At least i wont get lost.

If no one else offers you a ride - best take the metro to Al Jafiliya staion. Once you get there then is a bresque 15 mnts walk. If you get a sim then give a call (i sent you a pm with my number)

If there is no one coming from your are, what you can do is to take a bus to Trade Center roundabout - and from there it is like 2min walking. On you way back, there will be someone who can drop you.

Kindly confirm my participation at 3pm. Ideal time considering that some of us would have our prayers in the afternoon. If there are any changes hereafter, kindly inform.

And ideal1979(pardon me if I got the name wrong), you could perhaps give me a call and I'll try picking you up since you haven't a ride at the moment. Lets make it a meet to remember for Tbhpians in the UAE!

The Dubai Team-Bhpians finally met up today. Or atleast a few of them did. Those who made it to the meet were:

1. Milinda
2. Ram
3. Shahul & Sadique
4. Surasen & wife
5. Saivalli
6. Wheeler

As decided earlier, the meeting venue was Zabeel Park at 3pm.

I was supposed to pick up visiting TBhpian Idea1979 from Qusais but at around 1:30pm I recieved a PM from him saying that he wouldn't be able to make it.

Not wanting to be late, I left home at 2:40pm and I reached Zabeel at around 2:50pm, only to realize that I didn't have anyone's contact number. Finally, all of us ended up at gate 6 at around half past 3. After introductions, we realized that it was too crowded and so we moved to a coffee shop at Crowne Plaza. And from there on, the chatter started non-stop. Topics ranged from classic cars to bikes to off-roading to driving licence experiences. We parted about an hour later and after dropping off Surasen at the Bur Dubai bus stand, I headed home.

Only 2 people were carrying cameras, Surasen & me. So while we wait till Surasen posts his snaps, I leave you with these pictures from the coffee shop.

Well, it's not exactly the first Tbhp meet in Dubai. There have been a few meets prior to this.
