Quick meet in Alleppey / Alappuzha

Hi folks,

January 16th 2009 must be a historical day here with a small (quick) meet happening in this small town.

Only three of us, but a good start.

All started with an SMS from jkdas giving me about 90 minutes for a 5PM meet at the Alleppey beach. drdeepudev was already party to the meet.

I was the last to arrive at the venue sharp at 5PM.

Me with my Marina, jkdas with his Safari and drdeepudev with his new Linea constituted the meet.

It was on for almost 2 hours with a coffee to start with. Talks centred on cars as well as personal matters. A drive in the Linea also happened with jkdas on the driver's seat. I took the test drive from the rear seat and did enjoy the ride.

Well, none of us really thought about snaps and so there is none for the first meet.

I do hope that more meets materialise henceforth.

Man I really missed it. I got the invitation from jkdas, but I had work till 7pm

. So I couldn't make it. Hope you people had fun.

Where do you stay?

Meeting me is not a problem at all.

Between 1000 and 14000 & 1630 and 2030hrs, I am normally in my shop next to Iron Bridge.

That's alright vaisakh. There are more meets to come. You can be here anytime.

. Next time lets select a time and date convenient for all. jkdas planning for a meet in trivandrum on jan 26th. trrk is planning to join them. I will if time permits.

I enjoyed. I was literally thrilled. Never thought bhpians is this active. It was just great.

We will have more meet. Maybe on 30th or 31st as I need to handover the stickers to deep and Vaisakh.

And check this, if possible try to come

Alapuzha has the best locations for meets or so. Cam is necessary.I will carry a cam next time

I am subscribed to that thread and so am aware of the trip. I cannot commit to it. If I do end up coming for the trip, I will see you before 9 at the CCD / near the CCD.

I am very self conscious about taking snaps in a public place. Nowadays I use my HTC for my photos.

Dear All Bhpians, it is a pleasure to know about and meet you guys from alleppey. I am also from allepey just returned to dubai on 9th if i know about this meet i would have extended the holidays. Hope to have another meet some where in june in the mid of monsoon.

@Anil & @Unni and the yet unknown faces around the Venice of the East:

I am a constant fixture in Alleppey. Rarely do I go out except like on the Republic Day to crash in onto the TVM guys' meet!

My shop is next to the Iron bridge - the old building opposite the northwest corner of the bridge. Normally am there between 1000 hrs and 2030 hrs. Of course leave time after 1400 hrs for lunch.

Planning for meet in Alappuzha on 18th (sunday).

Location : Beach Indian coffee house.
Time : 3 or 4 pm

as for now me and JKD are in. So guys please spare the Sunday eve for the meet.

We had a meet 2 weeks back at Xtra Palace. We (me and Deepdev) also got a drive in trrk's Manza !

Hope to meet you all this Sunday at ICH @ Beach by 4pm.
