No customary shots from me this time as I was completely under-prepared for the trip. No charge in my camera, so I was carrying my roommates' camera as well. Missed lot of nice shots as I was trying to save battery. Well here is the first set of what I have.

Yes, this time Rajeev was in his element. No hassles, to do just a mere 3 digits with his i10, he really opened the taps this time and pushed the pedal to the metal. I never knew the Elantra was capable of so much. Truly an understatement of a car which never particularly sold well in India. Kudos Rajeev, for being the pack leader, EVERY SINGLE TIME !

A great drive and great locale's! Thanks BRRaj!

It was a beautiful spot and also the places that Raj.Barcode took us to.

Apologies Raj.Barcode for missing out the final pillars! Really appreciate your enthusiasm!

So, my side of the story.

Tanked up, filled air and reached the meeting spot at 8.40 expecting to be the last one of the lot, I see one loner Elentra. Met Preetham and Raj.

Couple of direction calls and few tea's later (thanks to the kind soul who sold tea in the flask's; he was God send!) we get going.

I have the GPS track of the path we took, which I will upload later.

They collect Rs.20 for driving upto the lake. Nice spot, not crowded, but quite dangerous if not careful. The steps are slippery and one wrong step is all that is required.

Few photo's and off we went to the bathing spot.

This is where there is a small OTR track. Rocks played havoc, but then, all put up safe. Was scared if the Punto might damage its front skirts, but didnt.

Had lunch near the water spot and then it was play time. Since no one thought about bringing proper wears to get into the water, it was left to the only person who did that, to get wet, my daughter!

DreamCatcher was also prepared, and so was the youngest-tbhp-member of the meet; but I think the parental guidance was revised against it, sometime during lunch.

Thanks to all you guys for patiently sitting out there while my daughter played her hearts content!

From there, off to the temples. It was here, that I understood the directions wrongly and took DreamCatcher for a ride! Thankfully, we got the call from Rajeev and turned back.

Few more spots visited and also a good climb on a rock to get a amazing view! If not for the sun being there, it would have been a great photo shoot spot.

Rode back home from there, with a stop at Maddhur CCD.

Overall, a wonderful trip and a great set to be out with.

Photos, of what little I took, is in the next post.

Noticed Raj.BarCode have some fabulous photos with him. What we are seeing till now are just the trailers

Got it checked by a mech and after we hit the highways again, things got fine, that the clutch cooled down.
Good to know that.

THis in turn smoked the clutch plate which resulted in some smoke initially and then later followed by burning smell, whihc at times got so storng, that the car at the back was getting the smell.
Aah yes, the off-roading. My poor underbody and scratched front bumper bears testimony to that fact. Foolhardy of us really to follow the 4x4 Safari. We didnt realise the trap Happywheels was leading us into

Packed Chicken biriyani, Fish fry, veg palou in mandya and took right turn after 5kms to reach tonnur lake. I have to mention that the roads are not bad atall except that it was single lane. You can find lot of sugar cane factories on this road infact i wanted to taste the freshly prepared jaggaries but as it was already 12:45 we had to leave and reached tonnur at 1pm to find a beautiful lake filled with clear waters. Have to say never seen a lake this BIG.

The speciality of tonnur place is in one view there is full of ROCKS and in another view there is full of GREENARIES and in another its full of WATER. Now let the pictures do the talking

Beach Entrance

This is one hurdle where cars struggled to cross, we had fried clutch, under body scratches, wheel spins and safari crossed as if there is no hurdle at all. I would also like to mention about elantra that because of good ground clearance and stiff suspension setup there was no under body scrapping and as TCS was ON there were no wheel spins while crossing these small rocks and easily made it to parking area. After this trip there are at least 2 people who are planning and some have already started searching for Elantra crdi.
Believe me these pics does not do any justice compared to reality

Khan we missed your gypsy at this place, if you would have brought your gypsy you could have made it till the beach where even biker didn't dare to get it.

On the way to beach pics

Sorry, There is no snaps of food we ate as every one was hungry to finish it off or at least from my side, or did any one try to click one?

After we had food somebody dont remember cracked a joke on theDreamcatcher...
theDreamcatcher was trying to catch his daughter and his daughter was trying to catch dogs and dogs were trying to catch the bones people thew. She is one pro-active kid who would love to play with dogs, puppies and dreamcatcher was running behind when ever she ran behind a dog.

Breeze is so cool near the beach that Preetam is feeling sleepy while clicking after an heavy mega meal.

Headed back to melukote just to hear that the temple is closed till 5:30pm and decided to visit Akkatangi kola (sisters pond). The speciality of these two ponds are that one is sweet water and other is salt water.
