Delhi - Impromptu T-BHP Neighbours' Meet at VK

Over the last few weeks, more and more Team-BHP members have been coming to notice in the Delhi locality of Vasant Kunj. First I knew of Roshun and Prabal, and later on, v&v. Then maglev. And met ItMyLife today. v&v and I met up on a trip to the Auto Expo, and again 2 days ago with our families. He called for an impromptu neighbours' meet this afternoon.

Finally, just the 3 of us - v&v, ItMyLife and yours truly - could manage to meet up. Between 4 PM and 8:30 PM on T-BHP's 6th anniversary, we talked cars, travel, driving, photography, home, kids, work and coffee at Cafe Coffee Day. 3 rounds of coffee to be precise. The chaps there were fed up with us asking to repeat offers. On the third round, which flavour would you like your cappuccino, Sir? was met with a coffee flavour will do.

We hope to meet up in a larger neighbourhood group, with the missing folks having promised to join in next Sunday.

A few photos from the meet - coincidentally v&v and ItMyLife have two identical cars each - the Safaris as well as Balenos. Beat that!

Sir,

It was real fun meeting you n v&v. Today's 4 hr 30 mts meet just re-emphasizes the fact that men n cars are made for each other.

And not only that, but as complete strangers from different walks of life, different age groups, a common interest brought us together to the extent that we spent so much time talking about cars, cameras, family and life in general. It's truly amazing.
I certainly wish to be part of many more meets.

This kambakht run-for-survival of a travelling salesman has kept me away from a lot of fun in life. Am writing this on the fly too (and have just read all those PMs as well). Hope to catch up with you all soon. Good to know that VK is teeming with so many of us on the Team!

Thanks, Rehaan! Both v&v's and my wife, and ItMyLife's mom, were not too happy about our playing truant for 4-1/2 hours though!

Prabal, you've been having more fun than us, I believe, driving Delhi-Pune at the drop of a hat, shelling out excuses of work on Valentine's Day (and that too a Sunday to boot!).

Hope we can meet on the 21st again.

Had some very urgent work in the morning. Just now got the time to check out.

Thank you guys for the great Sunday evening. I talked so much after such a long time on various topics. Otherwise it all routine and monotonous.

Looking forward to many such meets, where of course with a goal to rope in our families too so that they too enjoy the gathering with us.
