I don't think so. Well what I want to really say is, the traffic from Yashwantpur to Nelamangala is not so bad that it can be considered one of the main parameter to select a weekend destination for the a days trip.
Selective is online now

Any which way, be ready to drive minimum 200km and keep yourself free for the whole day.
All agreed Rudra sir...but as Samurai mentioned, Kanakapura road is awesome...had been to mekedatu couple of months back and luckily got to see a couple of elephants enroute...We can really consider this route as it has pretty good roads, a little curvy like in ghats and shhitt loads of greenery!!!

Or we can try thi route : Bangalore-Hosur-Krishnagiri-Vaniyambadi-Yelagiri. Round 150kms...and the best part is that Bangalore to Krishnagiri is part of Golden Quadrilateral project so its smooth & straight highway... what say pro's???

Bangalore - Krishnagiri is one strech I would luv to drive on any time. I guess its about 80kms to krishnagiri. How far is yelagiri from there? I guess it will be more like 200+ roundabout.

From kirshnagiri, one can also take the Pondicherry road. Though its a two lane road, its still in pretty good shape. Its just the right kind of road for relaxed driving. We can go upto the Gingee fort and try to climb it as well!!

Yeah, what can I say, Amitoj, you're truly blessed!

I just hope I never have to push Psycho's or Rudra saar's gaddis. I'm thinking major surgery.

hehehe... yeah. i think we should file a PIL asking rudra n psycho to join a gym, in the interest of their fellow tbhp'ians.
anyways, getting back to the topic, we are seriously running out of new good roads to drive down...
So either we repeat history by taking old madras road or hosur road, or we give the mysore road or kanakpura road a shot this time...
