If going by Gypsy, absolutely fantastic for the vehicle after the 4 lane section ends

Did this trip on Friday (10th Sept). It was indeed worth the trip.

Had plans of driving down in a friends Scorpio and the Gypsy. But at the last moment, some issues came up with the Scorpio, so had to take my cars to accomodate 7 adults and 2 kids (My family incl parents and another family).

Would have loved to drive the Gypsy for the trip.

I shall post some pictures soon.

Cheers,

While driving from Hyderabad side and beyond Nirmal, I indeed saw a turn off (towards left side) well marked out for a different waterfall (not Kuntala) but did not see any boards marking a turn off towards the right side for Kunatala waterfall ... yes, please do give a detailed route and markers to identify the Kunatala turn off.

I think that waterfall is after Kuntala.

EDIT: Checked internet and that waterfall is called Pochera Waterfalls.

The region on the 4 lane is quite isolated with really no signs on the street that I can give for the exact turn. Roughly after about 50 KMs from Nimal, or lets say 65 KMs from the junctions where you can turn for SriramSagar project, you will come across a small flyover. The left exit will take you under the flyover where you will find a small underpass on the right to go to the waterfalls.

For a long drive after cross Nirmal, you will not come across such a flyover, however just about a kilometer before this flyover, you will come across another similar flyover with an exit to left that leads to road block, and there are some houses / bazaar there. I had initially exited on this and confirmed with the villagers there for the direction. I think this village is called "NerediKonda"

Check this URL: Kuntala water falls - AP waterfalls, highest waterfall of ap, Adilabad Telangana AP Tourism#

Although distances mentioned in the URL are a little off.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

I seriously doubt about the phata-phat meet on the aforementioned holiday as most of the roads would be choked with a zillions of route diversions. I seriously doubt if someone would be in a position to reach the venue. Better, push it onto Thursday
