Hi Guys,

Ive been told that only imported machines over 3L are allowed in. Srikant Karani is putting together the finishing touches for what i hear is a Voltas sponsored event! Of, course I dont know that for sure.

Any news on entry fee / forms / etc? There seems to be a general vagueness about all these important specifics and no one seems to know. Also lots of guys who should know and be there to drive - dont know.

If you hear anything shoot a post.

Ok... here goes. The Event is a fundraiser for a school for the disabled / blind coming up in BKC - by Suniel Shetty's mothers foundation. The event is being organized by a company called entertainment world fro Delhi.

It's called Voltas Moto-X-treme.
Flags off from Taj Lands end at 9am to reach Pune by lunch - a two hour stop at the Oriental Club. Then back on to mumbai to Lands end where there are cocktails and dinner / party. Theres also an auction of a car - proceeds of which will go to the foundation.

The cars all have to be 3ltr and above to qualify for an entry or if you are a celeb / page 3 person you can walk in with almost any car i think!!! This event is a T-S-D event and not a flat-out run.

Call Bhuvna at > 9867335535 for more event details and if you want to participate.

Im also told that theres only 50 entrants or so for the event. And she tells me on the phone that its already overbooked. RIGHT!!! I'd like to see 50+ over 3 ltr cars there on sunday considering that most guys here who have mean machines dont know about the event. Why do people have to get pricey.... anyways we'll leave that question for later - since its philiosophical!!!

Anyone going and kind enough to offer me a passenger seat?

does anyone know if they are going to use the palm beach road in navi mumbai?? cos that would be a good place for me to see the action if i am not able to make it to the team-bhp drive.

Route is by and large unknown, but it would be only logical for them to take palm beach out. But then again in a TSD event you could have the cars snaking through inside Nerul to completely confuse the living daylights out of the celeb drivers

I guess there will be less ripping since its a TSD event except for few bursts now and then. That would make it better for us to follow the cars and get a few good shots. Boy I wanna here the Lambos and Ferraris in the tunnels

Its going to be a sight watching celebs driving their exotics at a sedate pace and not let them rip.

Now imported cars over 3L also could mean we would have old beaten down Impalas, some old W123's and an old Cherokee or two mingling with the Lambos (if it does come!) and Prancing Horses doing an 80kph.

Hmmm... i still dont think this is going to be a grand event - not the way its being 'promoted' with no info anywhere on it. Sad is all i can say for now...

I just hope it doesnt turn out to be an anti climax with less or exotics and more of just general imported cars. I have got word that there are lots of Mercs participating.. I just hope they are the ones which are on the real higher side of 3L with superchargers
