Madras Quickies - Quick meets in Chennai

Since we've been having a few miscarriages of our mega meets, I thought we need to start a thread for Coffee shop meets that can happen any day of the week and won't keep a lot of the family men away from their families for too long.

I propose just one rule. There should be atleast 3 members meeting to call it one.
If its less than three, call it a date and don't post it on here.

So how is this thread different from the other one? Is this thread started to post unplanned or impromptu meets while the other thread (The Chennai T-BHP meet thread) for organized meets? I'm sorry, I just don't get the point, pls help understand.

The chennai meet thread is designed to attract all comments not related to meets.
The quick meets thread is designed to attract all comments not related to other things.
At the end of it, meets wil be planned by sms.

aargee the life of a D-bhpian is "really" hard.
He is carrying the weight "Chennai" as a whole.

Cheesy dialogs apart. I think its a good idea.

The planned meets and atleast "some" of the outings are out of reach for atleast some "un-touchables".
A quick shout would help. More often that not its simply not done and the same bunch of happy campers are being "happy".

No harm in that only thing is its not really "welcoming"
Maybe my view is wrong, so be it.

Nice initiative Mahendra.

The Chennai meet thread is for planning major meets that would take up a full/half day.

One old fashioned car freak (ME) will be driving down one 1954 car (Wolsley) to Chennai (Aiyanavaram) the coming Tuesday / Wednesday.

Anyone Chennai T-BHP'ians i can meet?

That was an unscheduled and accidental meet at Satya's place

This time, i am on one Nostalgic drive to the Chennai Central RTO for getting the fitness certificate for the car. I will be there for probably 2 hours at chennai, before driving back to Bengaluru the same day.

Would sure love to meet few guys out there.

I shall make my 4th stop at Sriperambudur in the morning around 10 am. Will put up further details in the travelogue section.

Will call you 2 days before leaving on this trip, since presently its all tentative, but this drive is a Must and Should.

When you're coming from Bangalore & intended to go towards Ayanavaram, you're likely to be passing by my home, unfortunately I'll be out of town this 15th, marching towards Erode.
PS - Do RTO's work on Saturdays?

I dont want to go all the way to central in this scorching summer to see a locked RTO

BTW there is a new cuppa shop at Gatsby village in ECR called Tyrst. Worth a check if you are around this side of the town.

Hmm. Quickies, miscarriages, dates etc etc. Looks like our D'bhpian is on overdrive.

I dropped in at Barista last Sunday @ 9:30PM, but the only person there was hotrod with his bike. Since wifey/kid were with me, had to leave. Hope you guys got together for the meet.

I really wanted to come to the meet , But had one of my semester exams on Monday. Another reason was I saw Nitrous's message really late .
Otherwise would have adjusted here and there and would have made it.
Lets have one meet soon probably this weekend.
