Quote:
It was a private "pay and practice" day!
Nitrous, does that mean, only racers can practise?? Or can anyone who wants to pay can practise?? I am being naive asking this!

Anyone can "pay and practise", provided u have a helmet and a car with seatbelts. There are few safety precautions to be followed.

Expect to order a fresh set of tyres at the end of the day if u're planning to try setting track records .

@Mpower: I'm actually using a santro xing after my accident , so had to take that to the track. I did drive a lap on that. But, i dont think neither of us would like to discuss its characters on the track. It was a boring machine.

JD ripped his EVO for around 4-5 laps after which he returned to the pits with "shredded" tyres since they were a bit old and the rubber had become hard.U guys missed the sound of the turbo and its BOV.

God! You guys remind me of times when I was aged between 19-24... How I wish life was like it was back then. You guys remember "Sholavaram Races"? LOL. Chennai was so cool back then. Hope you had a great time, Nitrous and I couldn't make it last evening as I had and still have guests.

Vivek, you're married? When we spoke I thought you were around 18/ a college kiddo or so lol... Nice to know that you must be somewhere close to my age.

I'll catch up with you guys in a day or two... Loads of work at office and guests at home. Just stopped by for a few minutes.

BoomBastic, that's a compliment.
But you are not the only one who gets mistaken. ;-)

Nitrous. how about making our first trip to MMST when a race (pro) is going on. it will be a real feast to the eyes (to ears too, i am sure). I am guessing u r most up to date on this.

I think this thread is getting too off-topic. This will be the last discussion on this topic.

The track is getting dry and yet to be cleaned after the recent floods.

JD was just having fun with the evo and wasn't keen on the lap times.

There's no go-karting track near the track. Pls PM me for further details or we can start a different thread if we want to. Lets continue with the discussion about the meet on sunday

Isphani Centre

Guys! Like Avi said, Isphani Centre is opposite Landmark, Nungambakkam and has one huge parking lot. If you still don't know where it is, just come on to Nungambakkam High Road and ask anyone where it is and they will guide you (right from Gemini Flyover to Eldorado Building, anyone you ask will know the place). If it helps, it's opposite the Church on Nungambakkam High Road which is next to Landmark, Nungambakkam.

NOTE!
DATE OF PLANNING MEET: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20th, 2005
TIME: 1400hrs. (2PM)
VENUE: ISPHANI CENTRE, NUNGAMBAKKAM
