Hello fellow Kaas travellers and other members,

This is a new thread to confirm and organize the post Kaas meet to banish those withdrawal symptoms first officially reported by issigonis and I am sure that all of us are suffering from the same.

So all those who were on the trip and all those who were not are welcome to confirm their attendance for Saturday the 9th of October.

Pagda, Nasik BOM highway

Approx 30kms from Mulund Check Naka

First Stopover to meet MX6 (visiting from Pune) and hvkumar is proposed at
Thane. Exact venue will be confirmed shortly. Suggestions are welcome for recommending a suitable stopover point.

In view of the traffic situation varying with the time of the day, I have attached a suitable poll. So go ahead and take your pick. the poll itself will close in 4 dyas as we need to firm this up at the earliest possible. See you all at LOP.

Am taking the liberty of adding your comments from the Kaas thread to this post. Hope you don't mind.

A few pointers from Khoj. Very valid suggestions.

"The eatery is called 'Legacy of Punjab'. Reread the name last evening and this should help in avoiding any confusions later on.

On a serious note guys, I strongly recommend a lunch meet. The traffic on this highway in the evenings is simply frustrating. I was on the stretch last evening around 8ish and the truck traffic had increased exponentially from what it was when I drove out in the afternoon. The police check point conducting random DUI checks just before the Bhiwandi/Kalyan crossroads did its own bit to add to the jam and this is almost a regular feature in the evenings regardless of whether it is a dry day or a whatever day .

We could group up at Thane, meet with our visiting member MX6 and hvkumar and then take off for 'Legacy of Punjab' from there. Members from Kalyan and Dombivli could decide whether they wish to come to Thane or join straight at the LOP, of course the option to join straight at LOP is open to all who want a one stop meet. The early noon drive will be relaxing as will be the return drive late afternoon/early evening before the traffic builds up.

Post your opinions guys let us firm this up over the current weekend itself, so that we have something to look forward to through the coming week."

Guys I presume that by including the meeting with MX6 in the preceding post we are agreeable for lunch. However I would still request you to vote and allow for a clear picture to emerge.

Guys, Keep this as Dinner meet only, am sure next sat there will be less traffic, i am working on Sat, so if its a dinner meet i can join directly from my office,also air will be cooler in the evening.

Dear Folks. If it's Dinner, I wouldn't be able to join. If it's lunch then Parimal is out.
How about having it on Sunday anytime then? Just a suggestion. If it's not ok, then guys go ahead with the dinner!

Suddenly Sunday is also becoming an option. Can a poll for Sunday be added too? If it is Sunday it will have to be lunch.

Will you be able to make it on Sunday? I thought you were coming to Bombay for some work on Saturday!

Any insider info regarding traffic being less next Saturday?
Though I agree the air will be cooler in the evenings.

The poll is specific to choice between lunch and dinner. It does not reflect any date so it could be either the 9th or the 10th. I think adding another poll will make the whole episode too open ended. Instead of that I would request the Bombay bombers to coordinate amongst themselves and finalize a date (with due consideration to MX6 confirmation).

Personally I would prefer lunch on either date, dinner on Saturday is also OK if that is what the poll returns indicate but dinner on Sunday is a definite no for me. I prefer to have a peaceful Sunday evening to help me prepare for the week ahead and driving on a truck infested road on Sunday eve is anything but peaceful.

Please confirm your trip to Thane on Sunday instead of Saturday to help the rest to decide on the date. Thanks

So when and where I have to come and get admitted.

If its Saturday, then Dinner as I have a rozgar that day
If its Sunday, Lunch will be good or a Dinner or infact both will be fine

I've voted for lunch with light traffic- its fine with me on both the days.
Am unavailable/ will be difficult for Saturday night.
