Does anyone have any suggestions regarding place of meet-up? Place large enough for a few cars and bikes to be parked? Maybe a tea shop/eatery nearby? Or can we meet on the outskirts of the city and drive/ride in a convoy to some place nearby? Asking because I have no idea how many people would turn up. Also, educational institutions are reopening so that too needs to be taken into consideration.

I recently visited Kasarsai dam near Hinjewadi but the last one km is a rough, non-tarmac road. Another possibility that springs to mind may be the gliding centre in Hadapsar but have no clue about the parking area. I had visited Dhome lake near Wai last month, but that is a good 75-minute drive from Katraj tunnel. Khadakvasla/Sinhagadh/Panshet?

I am not that familiar with Pune so mostly limit myself to going away from the crowded areas that has heavy traffic. All suggestions welcome.

I am in for a weekend meet. Any place is fine.

We can drive to Lonavla or Mulshi or Fort Jadhavgadh.

Sunny Da Dhaba is a popular place for Team-bhp meets.

Went back up this thread and discovered the bikers' trip to Wai (Dhom Lake). That looked interesting.

Two members suggest Lonavla spots on the old highway. One agrees with the suggestion that we meet somewhere at a petrol pump near Pune and then drive in a convoy to wherever we are headed to.

Any other suggestions? Sunday June 12 sound do-able?

Got this suggestion in response to my question about work the next day and I quote:
"7.30 am meet up
8 am start
10 am reach destination
1 pm leave destination
2-3 pm reach home. So that people have the second half to catch up with family, other commitments, etc and are well rested for the Monday morning rituals."

I am NOT a morning person, and a Sunday 'morning' is a certainly in the PM hours for me. No offense intended.

Can we shift this by a few hours? Meet around noon at a petrol pump between Bhumkar Chowk and Expressway; head to Lonavla for afternoon lunch, chill out till sunset; then a very possibly 'stressful' drive back? Stressful since all Mumbai-Pune traffic hits Lonavla after sunset.

Or else head to either Kasarsai near Hinjewadi or Pawana or Mulshi for this Sunday and once the rains start, we can plan a day-long outing to Mahabaleshwar (morning and early afternoon) and Wai (Dhom lake later in the afternoon).

I am fine with all options. Just putting these in the public domain so we can together decide where to go.

All suggestions welcome.

June 12 ok? Meet at Shell pump or HPCL between Bhumkar Chowk and Expressway?
7.30am or 12.30pm meet up?
Return 3-4pm or 8-9pm?

Guess 'enthusiasm' is facing deflation/slow leak. I plan on heading to Kasarsai Dam Sunday June 12 around 1.30pm from the Shell pump near Bhumakar Chowk and return around sunset. Travel time is about 40minutes one way, add some more if it is raining. Hope to see some more TBHP stickers then.

Seems the tapri meet didn't happen!
If it's still a topic of interest, I know a fantastic place of the Chakan Shikrapur road.
Approximately 40 km from Aundh. (Last 1 kilometer is dirt track)
Ample parking space available.
Gavran food can be arranged as also chai coffee.
Farm fields all around.
Small hills nearby for hiking etc.
