I think everyone has had a lot of modaks for ganesh festival and being lazy to get out But in a way its better the meet got cancelled considering the rains for the last three days. If at all we are looking for an open location, it would have been difficult.

Hi SD,

Been watching the Kaas thread closely.
If the blooming doesn't happen, there are chances that the trip may get postponed by a week.

If that does happen, I have a nice plan for a wonderful Tapri Meet!

Had been to Kaas yesterday. There are now Forest dept people on the plateau who do not let visitors park their vehicles anywhere near the flowers. You have to park cars around a KM down the plateau. Also, they are not letting people go near the flowers.

That is nice!! I'd been there last year and there are just too many vehicles and people who are oblivious to what they are doing to the flowers there!! Going by walk should be fun!

Me thinks, its time for another meet. Shraavan is over and so is Ganpati. Even the rain gods have shown mercy. Perfect time for a meet. What say?

Good idea. Some of us are off to Kaas this Saturday.
Can we have it on the 24th/ 25th?

Also, can we make it a misal pav breakfast?

Edit: Just re read your comment about Shraavan, so I guess you are thinking lunch/ dinner. If it isnt breakfast, ignore the misal pav bit!

@Selfdrive: Bala, good to see that at least you saw the subtle hints . That said, I am game for any kinda meet - Breakfast/Drive & Lunch / Dinner. Lets decide on a date and time.

Yesterday, we at Sungard had a nice mini-TeamBHP-Sungard tapri meet. Myself, heman_369(Himanshu) and Throttleking(Sagar aka Vasuli Anna) met for about 20 minutes. Another colleague/BHPian rb2399(Rohit) dropped at the last moment due to heavy workload. We talked about how good the Optra Magnum is and how it has reborne on TeamBHP suddenly. We discussed about our next prospective upgrades. Sagar likes Safari, Himanshu likes Renault Dacia Duster and me...not sure. BTW, Rohit(rb2399) has a Safari and has done 2 Leh-Ladakh trips and one Bhutan trip all the way from Pune with his Safari. He is one BIG traveloholic.
