Weekend did not see much action on the thread. I guess everybody was busy watching super sunday on TV.

Updating the attendees and the plan for the drive meet below. Please pitch in with corrections and additions.

Drive Meet Location: Lavasa (I think this has been freezed based on the poll. I think we should freeze it now)
Meeting Point: Chandni Chowk (Near Up and Above Restaurant)
Time: 6.30 AM
Rough Plan: Assemble at the meeting point -Drive towards Lavasa - Stop enroute at a Tapri for Tea - Reach Lavasa and stop at a good viewing point for a possible photo shoot - On the way back from Lavasa lunch stop at Manas (Is this finalised??) - Back home by 2 PM.

No updates to the thread .

One more thought came to my mind after posting the plan today morning. Another option that we can think of (considering that it is an early morning 6.30 AM start) is to go home for lunch. This might also help some of the tentative joinees to confirm their participation. Just a thought to ponder upon.

The problem is that if we make any adhoc plans while we are in LAVASA (for e.g. to explore the place etc.), then going home for lunch in time will be a problem and then people who promised that at home will be in a bigger mess (including me)

Good progress !! Well IMHO lets keep the lunch as planned . We definately can ponder upon the lunch destinations ,but I doubt there are much options for lunch out there .

This thread is progressing slowly, just like the Indian team playing last nights match .

For lunch, like discussed earlier, we can have it in Lavasa (expensive) or come out of Lavasa and find a dhaba enroute to Pune. Either way, we would need to finalise, as wherever we eat, we need to inform the place. My guess is this time we would be around 40 odd people. (members + family)

Well have tried Lavasa lunch (Ekaant) , the food is kind of OK , not good , not bad , least to say pretty expensive . To me some dhaba enroute makes more sense , Any pointers ??

Forget hotel and dhaaba,
why don't you guys make some arrangement with some farm enroute to provide some nice rural food?
kanda bhaji, baingan bharta, jawar roti, thecha, papad and kurdi, spicy dal and white rice, oops!!!
Have food in the shade of tree with river flowing along.
Have fun guys!!!

+1 to this, I have been to Lavasa in last monsoon however there are no places like Sinhgad where we can have food like this. :(

This sounds mouth watering AP. Any idea about where we can get this on this route? You been to any such place before?

And by the way you mentioned "Have Fun Guys". So does this mean that you are definitely out? So this would be the second meet that you would be missing out or rather we would be missing meeting AP
