Good to see some overdue activity on this thread.

The food options are plenty, however, food quality at Manas is still a question.
That leaves us the below options :

1. Various options in Lavasa:
Ekant (OK food)
Mercure Hotel Buffet (expensive)
Fortune Select Dasve (no clue about the food or price)
Granmas Homemade Pattisserie
Subway (healthy food)
Pizzavala (pizza)

2. Buninda Dhaba (not that expensive, good dhaba style food).

3. The dhaba outside Lavasa (Pathfinder had suggested the name during the last meet).

So there we go. Enough options to choose from. Now start choosing places.

^^^ As long as the place is a good family joint (Given that many are inclined towards having family along), I'd take Swanand's word with blindfolds and go to Buninda Dhaba...I don't see a reason why ghaas-phoos food would not be good there.

Subway / Dhaba food would be my preference. Yeah I am a hardcore ghaas foos wala (VEGGIE)

Did some quick calls to some places to inquire about the rates. Below are the findings.

1) Ekant (Lavasa) - Lunch Buffet Rs.550 + taxes

2) Zodiac (Fortune Select Dasve) - Lunch Buffet Rs.650 + taxes

3) Manas Resort - Rs. 325 per head (inlcusive of taxes) for minimum 25 people.

Menu in Manas would be - 2 Veg + 1 Non Veg Starters, 1 Veg + 1 Non Veg Soup, 2 Veg Dishes + 1 Non - Veg Dishes, Roti, Dal, Rice

I did not even bother to ask the menu in Ekant or Zodiac

If we have to go for Buffet we would have to inform any hotel in advance. I am not sure about Buninda Dhaba.

Subway anyways would always be there in case we do not decide on any place.

So all the confirmed and tentative attendees please share your inputs and preferences.

Not that I am being a miser , but honestly thats on a higher side (considering the OK quality )

I can come over if someone can accommodate me in their vehicle from chandani chowk as I am interested in photography similar to anvancy and not interested in driving to lavasa (did it multiple times).

@Amit: Great consolidated report for food options, my vote is for Manas / Subway as both are good
Just serviced my bike yesterday, i will be bringing my Apache RTR EFI (Color - Grey, Model 2008)
Seeing the whopping prices in Lavasa even a bottle of water may cost 50 bucks, i advise people to carry some water bottles with them from home, it is summer time

Amit, great job mate! We owe you one now! its been great of you to take the efforts of calling all these guys. Lavasa (food), by popular choice seems to be out. i can vouch that the food at these restaurants is strictly, OK. So not worth the money being spent.

That leaves us 2 options:
Manas
Buninda Dhaba (AFAIK, we do not need to make a booking, only that with such a large order, we might have to wait a bit for it to be prepared)

Anyone of them is fine by me.

Yayyyy... Finally purchased a Canon DSLR,
@Anvancy - Thanks for all the guidance in helping me finalize the model, i went for the EOS 550D T2i Rebel Series (the same one u suggested)

now i can expect to take some good pics for this sunday's trip

I owe it to this thread because it is thru the last pune tapri meet i got to know Anvancy in person

@Swanand - Would it be possible that we tell Buninda Dhaba about the food requirements on our way to Lavasa? We might have to wake up some people Where exactly is this located (general directions and landmarks would help)? I might go to Hadshi on saturday so can check it out.

@Nanduchitnis - Thats a cool snap you have got there sir. You seem to be ready for the drive already :-)
