The drive meet to Lavasa was an absolute success! We converged at Paud Road just off Chandni Chowk at 6.30 am (give or take- can't help the usual latecomers ).

It was my first offline meet and I was a little nervous. Luckily the first person I met was Captain Nandu Chitnis in his pristine white AHNC and he put me immediately at ease. We were both parked outside Up and Above restaurant, where we thought we were supposed to (if an ex-serviceman says that was the meetingplace, it was. OK?!!) Were a little surprised to see nobody else so called up Sudarshan, who told us to drive a little further up where the rest of the gang was assembling.

Once we had quorum, the drive started. By popular demand Swanand's Laura was designated lead car. Here's a look at his beauty:



Of course the rear had to be brought up by none other than Sudarshan's Landy!



White is new black! There were 5 of us in white rides, happily parked right next to one another (L-R: nanduchitnis, maverick79, noopster, akmits-bhp, subodh).



It was lovely to find out that my ride has an identical twin. Here's me and subodh (on right) in our respective candy white Vento VW ATs.



konjaril's Opel Vectra was the surprise beauty of this meet. Absolutely gorgeous!

anvancy (and some others) were shooting using SLRs and big fat lenses etc. that my poor P&S Sony cam lacked. So will leave the rest of the posting to them and relax for now!

Wonderful use of a Sunday morning- feeling totally recharged now! Note to self: must do more often.

Edit: Couple of us had to return early for various reasons, which is why I beat everyone to the post (literally).

I and Sudharshan sir were discussing to hold a parallel exclusive photoshoot meet thread.it becomes too difficult to shoot ANYTHING when we have a huge crowd.

But the drive and the ride was fun!!
