After a 2 hour sleep, I was suitably refreshed to start processing pictures of the meet. Here they are, for your viewing pleasure.

NH7 / NH 44: Enough has been said of this highway's beauty.


The M800: Maximum Speed attained 140 kmph on the speedo; GPS showed 125 kmph. For a car with 90,000 on the odo, she feels tight as a drum.

Lovely drive, nice meet. Why don't we have more of such meets more often!
Some pictures from my camera. The last screenshot is the gps log for today's drive (starting from NH7 toll gate) giving max, min, avg speeds and ground elevation graphs. This was captured using GPSLogger II on a BlackBerry Bold2 9700 and transferred to Google Earth.

You can view the logs on android and also upload them to google maps.

Need directions to Surya Lanka.

Are the roads through Nagarjuna Sagar pretty bad? Would it be better go via Vijayawada although it would mean about 40 odd KMs more?

I would be going there next weekend.

Thanks for posting these videos Appu. More than driving we seemed to talk on the phone considering the no. of times we spoke during the drive

Yesterday's drive was nothing less than brilliance with perfect weather ( got just a wee bit sunny during noon) and NH7 inviting us with its arms wide open and it was a well deserved run for the WA after she got serviced and oil changed. It thanked me for opening up her lungs...

It was terrific a drive and especially loved the backroads leading towards the Medak church. It was simply too scenic

What i hated was the food at the dhaba with flies hovering all through the meal and we exercing our arms to shoo them away. Well, that was offsetted by the company of like minded petrol/diesel heads. Next time a decent place to eat, please....

Overall, I enjoyed the drive immensely and can't wait for the next one and what i really appreciated that all of us stuck to the mutually agreed speed limit. 3 cheers to the team..
