Keep in mind, it should be a maximum of 150kms one-way and there should be a good place to halt for lunch, ofcourse

BTW where are we going? I personally would not like to go on the B'lore Highway as its congested and been done to death.

We can do the Nagpur Highway but not sure of proper places. We can do Vikarabad or Warangal or Gulbarga.

Lets do Vikarabad.

Gulbarga would be 200+kms and the road conditions are not that great.

Vikarabad : Ideal but we had so many drive meets it's boring. Besides, entire stretch even though has good roads is very uneven. Was on this road last weekend.

Warangal : 140kms of good roads but, these days traffic has increased on this road. I am game just for a lunch at that restuarant that serves the most fabulous food.

Gulbarga : Mumbai route and via. Bidar. Not again!

Nagpur Highway : This sounds like an idea. We can go upto Medak. Check out the church and while returning stop at any of those Shamirpet dhabas for lunch.

Another meet that I would miss :(. Driving to Bangalore this weekend. Drive safe, Have fun and do take loads of pictures.

Will share my driving experience, my second long drive after Nagarjuna. Fingers Crossed.

We have done 5-6 Bidar drives in 2010 with each time stopping to visit the fabulous gurudwara ( search in meet section, you can see pictures).

So another trip to Bidar so soon isnt such a great idea.

As mentioned. Vikarabad is 100kms ( up to the lake) but, roads are very uneven and bumpy and drive wont be that enjoyable. But, if everyone wants to go here, I dont mind.

However, my vote goes for Nagpur Highway. Drive for 100kms ( stop at 100kms on odo) and return and stop at any dhaba on that stretch.

Can we have a consensus from all? Or we can finalize the destination tomorrow evening when we all meet up?

My suggestion is slightly different. Lets find out all the best Dhaba's around Hyderabad within the 100 Km radius from Nampalli. And then let's take a vote. The Dhaba can be the drive destination.

Ani bhai, you are referring to Reviera Hotel..this is just after crossing Bhongir. This place is about 60 Kms from Hyderabad and I agree with you on the quality of food here.

The Hydies had an impromptu meet last night to celebrate (defacto) TBHPian Neera's B'day. And what a meet it was !
The idea germinated in the minds of absynthguzzler yesterday morning to celebrate Neera's b'day in style with a BBQ party at his place. Immediately I set out seeking confirmations from the B'day Girl and all other concerned.
Absynthguzzler was incharge of the food and had made the following:

1. Wine dipped Chicken
2. Smoked Mutton
3. Mutton Sausages
4. Paneer Tikka
5. Grilled Potato and Capsicum

The food was finger licking good he had made some amazing dips aswell. Overall food and discussion with like minded folks made it an event to remember!
