Today was an awesome Drive Meet on NH7.
Few of Team Bhpians lined up at Shamshabad Airport by 10am,when the sun was blazing and headed for a 90km drive on NH 7 till Jadcherla.
After a initial pot holed road,the drive was one of the most amazing one,that I enjoyed after many years.
I did a steady decent speed on my Uno trying to catch up with other cars.
In the end it was fantastic meet n drive followed by a lovely lunch at Sholay restaurant with Team Bhpians.

It was a day when Chevrolet Cruze ruled this meet with the presence of 3 cars and zipped like rockets.
My day was made when i looked at Sai Thakur's refurbished Orange Zen with some amazing Alloys and great interiors.
In the end..an amazing drive meet.

Even though a dissapointing turnout compared to the actual confirmed numbers ( Perhaps, from next time we all should take the confirmations with a pinch of salt) it turned out to be a great meet.

The final headcount was still a decent 11 cars and it was great fun driving on the Bangalore highway (NH-7) despite heavy traffic on this stretch and all our cars got a nice opportunity to really sprint and let the engines, filters breathe some fresh air.

We reached Jadcherla which is about 90kms from my home and decided to head back to some cool environs of a city restuarant due to humidity which was almost unbearable. After spending an hour chatting, having tea, we headed back to city to our favorite restuarant ( SHOLAY) for a delectable lunch.

The highlight of this meet has to be the Missile Trio, Diesel Rocket X 3, Annihilation Machines X 3. No, I am not talking about any space research.

It was a day dedicated to the mighty Cruze !!!! As there was not one, nor two but, three of 'em

All I can say is folks who didnt make it missed a great drive.....Let the pictures do some talking now

P.S: Sorry, dont have the energy nor inclination to caption each picture but, its pretty much self explanatory....Besides, there are a couple of pictures of WA after it went through the christening ceremony

Is there a camera that can capture the "Diesel Rocket"?? Canon and Nikon have to introduce 1/2 Lakh seconds shutter speed to capture it

@Venu, nice pictures there from Lakshman. I had given him the idea to take the front grille picture in aperture mode with half the frame hazed out. It didnt quite come out as i thought it would.

For that you need a lens with an aperture of 2 or less and focal length of 40mm or more, and shoot it wide open. The uber cheap Canon 50mm f/1.8 at less than INR 5k does this job brilliantly, as the picture below demonstrates:

Agreed the bokeh would be really good with F/2 or less but, even the stock kit lens of Nikon D90 18mm-105mm with F/3.5-5.5 ( incidentally stock kit lens for all Nikon DSLR's have the same F-stop range) can easily produce decent results.

In aperture mode, framing the subject and focus ONLY the subject at the right zoom will easily do the trick

I was all the time on bikes till the last 1year.
So was an active member ( In meeting people & less in Posting on Forums) of some biking forums.
I regularly visit the forums here also but never posted anything.
Suddenly when I checked the Team Bhp site I realized that since I'm driving car a lot & using my bike rarely ( I really mean rarely) I now need to upgrade even my meets.
I've a plan to visit the Auto show tomorrow so was checking if anyone else is coming there & if possible meet them.

Haha, Ani bhai! I present to you, yours truly. I joined TBHP on Oct. 2, 2007 and had a post count of only 2 till April/May 2010!
