A. Tire care:

Requirement: stock steel rims and longer lasting action.

1. Megs endurance tire spray
2. Megs all wheel cleaner as I dont have alloys
3. Megs hot shine tire foam
4. Eagle one extreme tire shine
5. Armor all 3in 1 tire foam / Armor all wheel cleaner foam

B. Trim protection:

Requirement: long lasting protection and shine

1. Megs natural shine vinyl rubber protectant spray
2. Armor all original protectant
3. any other recommendations?

Also looking for a good paint sealant that I can buy locally.

Thanks in advance.

For the wheels i would recommend the Armorall wheel cleaner foam since you are having steel wheels.

Both the tire sprays from meguiars are good! choose any!

For protectant Megs natural shine is the best available in india

@Moralfibre - Sorry for the quoting mistake.

Thanks Sagar for the reply.
Also wanted to know what would be a good paint sealant among the 3 :-

1. Finish Kare 215
2. FK 2180
3. Meguiars NXT Tech 2.0

In case I use the FinishKare, can I later use the Meguiars quik detailer and quik waxes on it without inducing any harm to the sealant layer?

It looks totally true to your name, SunnyBoi

Absolutely magnificent. How old is the car? It now looks better than showroom-new.

Yes you can ! No issues at all

Havent heard of Finishcare. So cant tell about its efficacy!

What i would suggest is you apply 2 coats of this finishcare with 24 hours curing time in between. And later in use Megs NXT tech wax for the rest of the year!

Thank you Thad! Car is over 10 years old but the car was repainted by the previous owner. Paint quality is so-so and took me close to a year polishing by hand and finally the DA Polisher last week to bring it upto this level

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Reliance Autozone has the Jopasu Duster at Rs.345/-. Right time for those who are planning to buy the Duster. This was at Reliance Autozone in Hyderabad but I hope the prices will be same at all Autozones.

Y@sh, apart from 3M store, which offers genuine Meguiar's stuff, I don' think there are any shops offering polishes, waxes & sealants (PWS). Also depends on what PWS you are looking for. If Megs, Sonax, Turtle, Formula 1, is your need its available in a lot of stores near Milan Subway Santacruz.

However brands like Klasse, Blackfire, Wolfgang etc aren't available anywhere off the shelf.

Meg's is readily available at our local 3M Car Care and all Optimum products are readily available with Eco Car Care. To take it up a notch, you have brands like DG, Meg's Imports and FK, Collinite with BB Impex. If you got more money o spend, there is Zaino India. It would take you at least one year to try out everything once from these brands beire you are ready for Imports.

This Was A Detailing Demo On Friends Civic Which Was Sent For Full Respray. I convinced him to let me show him a demo of what a real detailing is.

No Doubt the respray is called off and car is with me for detailing.

Here are some pics of demo done.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

HI Guys - Does anyone know of a Portable or Domestic Steam Washer. I am looking for one to clean AC Vents, Engine Bay and Rexine seats.

Any pointers are helpful. I noticed there is a Karcher Domestic Steam cleaner for 10,000/- but not sure if its pressure is high enough to clean AC Vents. Of Course there is a high power Steam Cleaner for Professionals from Karcher, but that costs in lakhs.

Any options please. Somehow I want to have this machine.

100/- engine bay cleaning
500 - Engine Bay detailing
1200/- AC Vent Cleaning.

I could break even in 5 washes at the best.
