Aerohit, Please tell the process in a little detail. What method, products and learning you had while doing the stuff.

BTW, your car looks 'pataka' ;-)

Nothing special, just used Formula 1 wax paste. Once you apply wax leave it on for 15 minutes. Wax is applied with supplied applicator. Applicator should we moist/damp.

This is important - after 15 min when you clean the wax make sure you use microfibre cloth. If you dont have microfibre then you can use towel. I used old towel. If you use regular cloth or tshirt then you wont get the shine.

Job well done Aerohit. Shine on it is just astounding. Did you melt the wax before applying ?

Hmm not really. Wax was already soft, like cream.

Tell me one thing... Does Turtle wax leave behind a wet sticky surface or dry hard coat ?

The shine that I see looks almost wet and waxy surface.

It is wet and oily initially, but dries later and forms a coat.
BTW, this is not turtle, this is F1 wax. Cheaper than maguire and just as effective probably.

Can you share your experience with the wheel cleaner? As in , is it a dedicated wheel cleaner or just a strong APC? How well does it clean?

Sagar, its good. I have used it. Its like a heavy duty shampoo but less foaming. Dilute and spray on, leave for a few mins then agitate with a brush. Leave for few more mins then wash off.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

planning to do first time detailing on my 9 month old honda city car.
following is the probable schedule :
1. wash with amway car shampoo. rinse and dry.
2. decontamination with Nanoskin autoscrub sponge and ultima waterless wash as clay lubricant.
3.polish with blackfire gloss enhancing polish.
4.final application of blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection sealant.

few of my queries are :
1.should i wash the car again after decontamination with nanoskin before applying polish?
2. how much time should i wait between polish and sealant application? or it can be immediately applied after buffing of polish?
3. how to break the schedule? should i complete the whole procedure in single day or till decontamination on one day and polish and sealant on next day?
4. if divided in two days, should i wash the car on next day again before polish or simple dusting with jopasu duster will do?
please help me in above doubts.
thanks in advance.

Im not too happy with the quality of Proklear products. Proklear TTD attracts too much dust when applied on the tires and it doesnt last long either on the tires and the trim.
