Bike chain lubing - Have WD40 for the initial clean, followed by the 2 toothbrush jugaad. Which lube should I get? Motul chain lube??

I use primarily diesel (filled in a half ltr spray bottle) to clean, post that i will do a touch off with Chain cleaner just so that diesel washes off. This works out cheaper, otherwise using only chain cleaners costs a bomb in regular maintenance.
I am currently using Tribocor lube which is much much better than Motul any day.
For cleaning, I use old brush as well as this 3 sided brush bought off from Amazon it works well.

Believe WD40 does the same cleaning like Diesel. So still a designated chain cleaner is required??

Diesel works out cheaper, so you can do Diesel + WD40 combination, if you find WD40 works out better than the chain cleaners.

Think it is available in ebay or shopclues. Better to find any distributor in your place to get it cheaper than what is available online many a times. Let me see if I can get a distributor in chennai, if that is where you are staying now.

I use Motul chain clean before washing, use the brush to loosen the dirt and then pressure wash. Dry the bike and by the time i reach home chain is also dry, if there is more muck use the chain clean mildly and wipe off using a rug. Then apply the Motol chain lube.

Have the WD40 handy and hence ignoring the Diesel.

After watching some youtube videos, thinking of replacing the chain clean with WD40.
Yes, Motul is the name seen/heard in multiple places and hence the question raised on KKs suggestion.
Menzerna Powerlock at Rs.748/- post cashback...Amazing deal for an amazing product. I consider this better than the 845 I have with respect to ease of application, longeivity and a reasonably 'waxy' look. It's also slicker than the 845 and smells less 'petroleum' like.
At this price, it's a no brainer. If only I didn't have 1 and a 1/2 bottle remaining, would've got one..

Most of the pictures you have shown have deep marks damaging the base coat. The only option is to re-paint. Rubbing compound will not help much except slightly reducing the scratch near the ends where damage is minimal. Overall the scratch would look a bit small but would not go away.
If you have rubbing compound ready, some effort will not cost anything but will make you learn more about it :)

Use any good quality Rubbing Compound to minimize the scratches. Be careful on the number of applications as too much would ruin your clear coat.
