Just picked up ONR 8oz bottle from Eco car care office in Mahalakshmi Layout. For the benefit of someone interested in picking up directly, here is the address.
Eco Car Care
"Lalithashree" # 1157, 11th Main, 11th Cross,
W.O.C.Road , Mahalakshmipuram,
Ph: 808 888 0000

It is recommended to first call the number before you visit the office because If you are coming from majestic/Malleshwaram side, they might give you the option to pick up the product from another shop run by Nitin's(eco car care owner) brother which is in Rajajinagar 1st Block, so you don't have to go all the way to Mahalakshmipuram.

Disclaimer: I am no way associated with Eco car care. Just passing on the information for the benefit of other members.

Dear all,

Looking towards the orient, I find:

clay bar - Free Shipping - China Electronic Store

at USD8 including shipping to India.

Check out microfiber cloth as well, in the same site. In fact there are lot many other items of interest!
I've ordered both, already! After all, how bad can it be..?

Good night.

Or please suggest me whatever is best - considering the plastics on a scooter are subjected to harsh conditions (Chennai heat and dust!)
Meguiar's Natural Shine Protectant - 570/-, available in 03M shops. Try it once, the best, locally available.

Thanks hyper-vtec...

Have not enhanced my arsenal to include Collinite 845. Plan to do a car wash tomorrow followed by a wax coat with Collinite. Since the car's just 4 months old, i assume that the interim steps (Polish, DA etc) are not necessary...

Will post my impressions once i am through....

Cheers..

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

I will carry out my first detailing session during the weekend- shampooing and claying tomorrow and polishing and waxing on Sunday. Some people say it has to be done in one single day, else there might be some dust issues on the following day. Any comments on this?

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

A cousin committed a sin 2 days back.

He had picked up a brand new WHITE i20 2 weeks back. Since the car would be parked in the open, a week later, he picked up a BLUE colored cover for it for some 500 odd Rs. The was not removed for 3 days and it rained a few times during those 3 days.

When he removed the cover yesterday, there were blue colored marks/stains all over the car where the cover was in touch with the car. He tried cleaning with plain water, no success. I tried cleaning a patch with a car-shampoo solution, again no success, but it seemed like it lightened a bit.

Did multiple searches on this huge thread - like car cover stains, stains, cover marks etc, but did not really find anything relevant.

What can be done? Can the experts please help?
