I was aware about Aliexpress but searching for something that is available locally. Finally ordered from ALiEx.

Since Ive bought the car almost 3 years ago, Ive been using waterless wash to clean the car or ive always used the two bucket method to have it washed. Its always been cleaned with seperate microfibers for cleaning and drying.

Its regularly waxed every month and has never been polished or been for a detailing session yet. The paint is still glossy and has very minimal swirls. just some basic maintenance really does go a long way. This has also helped in eliminating the yellowish effect which white cars seem to develop if they arent cleaned using the proper cleaning methods.

Spent some time this weekend to get the car back to looking nice.
Wash -> clean wheels & tires -> shampoo -> water sheet -> wipe dry using ONR -> protect with Gtechniq silo seal -> tires dressed with PERL

Clayed the front windshield as it has some overspray from the time the car had spent in the workshop.

Finally applied rainx to all external glass area, including ORVMs.

Got a Stoner invisible glass reach & clean tool - which is godsend for cleaning the inside of the extremely large & quite steeply raked windshield of Jazz.

The following have been tried by me, others may have a different opinion.

1. Wavex Wonder wash -My goto car wash. Does a real good job. Specially on the lower parts of the car such as below the doors or on the side step boards of Scorpio.

2. Amway car wash - Slightly pricey, doesn't do wonders

3. Formula one wash and wax - Superb for washing. The so called Wax or shine that you expect after a wash is very thin or barely noticeable.Lasts for 3-4 days max or until there is a fresh layer of dust on your car.

4. 3M shampoo is recommended by many but I haven't tried it personally.

I use Wavex as I wax my car post wash.

Can someone educate me on the difference between soft, medium and hard claying bars. I would like to do claying on my car if it actually improves the faded look at some areas due to the impurities stuck on the body.

Clay cant rectify any kind of fading unless its by some physical impurities or particles that are baked to the clearcoat. Those can be found if you glide your hands on the surface with a thin plastic sheet in between or a glouse.

A clay can be considered as sandpaper but with lesser grit. Any clay has some coarse and depending on that its mentioned as soft\medium\hard and this coarse determines its effectiveness on removing the impurities, a hard clay can remove a stubborn particle that a soft clay cannot. So similar to a sandpaper it can leave a slight mar too. For a normal use you can get a soft\medium one. I use a cheapo ones from ebay and it doesnt leave any marks. Also similar to sanding, the aggressiveness depends on the pressure too, just glide it. Once these particles are removed, it will leave a butter smooth surface.

Anybody having experience with Gyeon Cancoat? Came across this while browsing through greenz car care website.

Need some advice/suggestion to a noob query. I have a covered parking in my building but it is not so everywhere. During the rains, lot of leaves,small flowers, etc get stuck in the areas under the Bonnet and the Boot-lid. I am afraid that those might get stuck in the drain channels and could cause rusting due to ineffective draining of the water. Usually I clean those areas weekly using a pen or my finger. Any other suggestions or easier solutions for the same? Thanks.

More than anything it depends on where the flowers/leaves are getting into the car from. If it is from daily driving, then there isn't much to do other than clean it regularly with the wash. If on the other hand, these are coming in from your parking place (home/office/road) then the solution is to prevent it getting into the car as much as possible. This would involve something as simple as a car cover. However, be aware that putting a cover on a dirty car can cause scratches. Also, using it on a wet car can cause rust with water/moisture trapped under the cover. If you cover up a clean car, then any flowers/leaves etc that get blown onto the car will be on the cover and removed easily.

It is due to the daily driving only. I do use a car cover when the car is in my building parking. But it isn't practical to use it otherwise. I am guessing regular cleaning is the only way to go about it.

Try using one of those pressurised pump sprayers as used for spraying plants. You might even be able to attach oxygen tubing to it in order to shove it into the channels

Hi @blackasta!
I wanted to know whether the Rainx has improved visibility during rains on your Jazz? I too have a Jazz but can't drive in the rains due to the water staying on ORVMs and the windows. Mind you, this is Mumbai and Pune level rains.
