Mahindra Bolero - Technical Specifications & Feature List

Team-BHP will now be uploading the full feature list and technical specifications of each car sold in India. This information isn't readily available; even manufacturer websites sometimes don't present all the data (intentionally), while the fancy formats they use make for poor readability. Then, we have some manufacturers who tend to confuse you by listing a glovebox as a feature!! Lastly, the official websites don't follow any standard display order as such, which can make comparisons across cars very difficult.

Team-BHP will follow a standard, easy-to-refer-to format across all Indian cars. With time, this data will be transferred to an interactive website section.

The Bolero is rather cheap to maintain I would say. I have clocked 76,000 KM in my 2008 model Bolero SLX, the clutch finally gave out yesterday, fair service time I would say.

I went to Sagar Auto in Gurgaon who stocks original Mahindra Spares and purchased

Clutch Assembly - Rs. 2210
Clutch pressure plate - Rs. 2465
Clutch Bearing - Rs. 900
Mahindra Gear Oils ( 2 l) - Rs. 460

Parts Total - Rs. 6035
Labour total - Rs. 1500
Total time taken - 6 hrs.

Total cost of clutch replacement - Rs. 7535

What would the agency dealership charge for the same work and how much time would it take - At Sterling Motors Gurgaon not less than 3 days.

Hi all I was just checking out the Mahindra Bolero website and came across this model, the Bolero EX. Looks like its a Bolero SLE without AC or Power Steering. I tried checking for prices on the website but it has not be updated for the EX model yet for West Bengal.

It would cost about the same before taxes. M&M ASS did my clutch replacement in a day - dropped my car in the morning and picked it up in the evening.

After this major expense has been ;

Steering Rack replacement - 17000
LHS Headlight replacement - 3300
Complete Bush kit - 330
Two front shockers replaced - 2800
Front break disks replaced Rs. 700
Labour - Rs. 2000
Oil & filter change - Rs. 2800 ( Rs. 1700 for 6 litre Castrol CRB Turbo ) + Oil filter, diesel filter, Air Filter
Painting of bonnet & roof - Rs. 10,000 paint only.
Alignment and wheel balancing - Rs. 1200
4x Bridgestone Duler AT 693 tyres, original size Rs. 7800 each
Now the Bolero runs like new. Now clocked 120,000 KM

The diesel filters were full of water, about 4 cm of water accumulated at the base of each, any reason ?

How do these BS III Boleros continue to be sold and registered in Delhi NCR where only BS IV compliance registration is permissible as of 2012 ?
