If fuel pump is priming, then mostly its an issue with Battery? How good is battery? Get it battery checked, it may be battery not giving enough power during first crank.

But the fuel pump malfunction lights stays lit up on the dashboard even after the car starts, battery is in top condition, however i shall check the output today.
