Problem with paint matching @ Aryan Motors

Folks,

This is very urgent. Do any of you have an influential contact at Aryan motors Banaswadi Bangalore? I badly need one as early as possible.

I gave my car for scratch removal in one of the door panels. Sujith & Prasad Rai are the 2 persons who are dealing with me for this work and they gave me a quote for tinkering & total re-painting of that door.

Yesterday when i went to collect the car, they were still polishing and touching up for a good 20 mins and then came the show spoiler, the color that they painted was totally different from the other door and they didnt even care to see whether it matches. They tried to sell me their work, saying after it fades in the sun it would get rectified.

I didnt buy that and told them i am not taking unless they fix it and match the color, no matter what. Today they were repainting and post which Mr. Sujith told me that the matching came out even worse. Now they want to paint the whole of 1 side (both doors + fenders) so that it matches.

I am concerned that this would be a very different color altogether and it would not blend at the bonet & rear side of the car. So if in case it is going to be worse, as i fear, I need someone's contact there with which i can influence the situation and make sure they do it properly and give it.

Any help appreciated, by the way i already talked to Mr. Shakeel who is the senior service manager there, not too sure it would help.

Re: Aryan Motors - Paint Shop

Are you a friend of Csateesh? If yes, then Mjothi had brought this to my notice and have spoken to my brother who gives his SX4 at Aryan regularly for service, he recently got the bumper and bonnet of his SX4 repainted at Aryan and the finish seems pretty good, the colour is Black, what colour is your car?
Will speak again to my brother and ask him if he knows people there who can help.
Cheers,
Hari.

Hi Hari,

Firstly thanks for the help! Yes i work with Csateesh and my car's color is Ritz Maroon/Fire brick Red.

It would be a great difference if i can gather some reference who can influence Aryan motors people tomorrow, if need be.

Re: Aryan Motors - Paint Shop

Who is this Aryan Motors ?? Are they a Maruti authorised dealer ? (immdlty raise a complaint to Maruti)

From what you have mentioned, they seem to be highly unprofessional !

Height of incompetence, if they cannot even match the colors right, could be they arent using a proper branded paint. They are talking nonsense when they say that it will match after fading in the sun

Kick their butts & create a scene, if they dont respect you as a customer, walk away. They are most unethical in their dealings, from what you have described.

I would highly recommend Pratham Motors on the ORR for your painting needs, from my personal experience.

Re: Aryan Motors - Paint Shop

Well of they cant get the color right then they dont have the paint code from MUL , as simple as that. From what I know there is a color chart/paint code with every MASS so that they can match the factory color while repainting.

gopinath don't settle for anything less than the exact match. I can imagine what it would be to have two doors with different colors.

Re: Aryan Motors - Paint Shop

Thanks "nirmaljusdoit" and "rjstyles", I visited Aryan motors today and eventually bumped into "vaseem" as well.

Just like yesterday there was someone from the paint company, mixing colors. That person tells me that any repaint can only match upto 95% , i told him i would be happy if it is atleast 95%.

They have called me again at 2.30 today. Need to go and see what they are upto.

@nirmaljusdoit, fyi, Aryan motors is very much an authorized service station.

Re: Problem with paint matching @ Aryan Motors

If nothing works, you can directly complain to maruti help line. They are very good and very effective.

Lolz colors match perfectly if the painting guy knows what he is doing. As the computer calculates exactly how much thinner etc to be used for a particular quantity.

i have the most unique and short loved color of Maruti, heena green. But even that my friend is a A.S.S. owner i do my painting works outside. At A.S.S. painter's pay you can never hire a competent guy. So i suggest all the people to paint and tinker their car only at the specialist who deals in painting and denting only

You are absolutely right!!..

Painting and tinkering is an art, learnt over time tru experience. Most A.S.S even though have the infrastructure, seldom have the expertise to carry out the task.

Its always better to go to an dedicated body shop, preferably with some experienced guys.

Re: Problem with paint matching @ Aryan Motors

Folks, I got my car delivered yesterday and they have done a satisfactory job. Thanks to all the forumers for their help.

Looks like the second time, they got someone from Maruti to mix the color and that guy screwed further and the outcome was even more worse than the one tried to convince me with.

I had a chance to directly interact with the paint mixing guy, who is from the paint company that supplies to Aryan. He told me that each paint color for maruti comes in 3 shades dark, light and medium. Each paint lot varies by some % to each other. Hence he says the best one can get is 95% match.

Whatever their stories are, i finally managed to get my car in a better way than it would have been on monday .

When i look back, despite all the hassles, one other thing that comes to my mind is the attitude of the service manager Mr. Sujith. Though he initially tried to bully me, he co-operated later and kept me updated with all the happenings. So i think i will write an appreciation to maruti about him.

Hey Gopinath,

good to see that they lived up to their commitment. Like i shared with you earlier when we met at aryan motors they usually do a good job and are proactive when they get pulled up for a job not done up to the mark.

anyways good to see that you are satisfied with the end result.

cheers
